Large (not huge), good quality mug
The cups are nice. They arrived in perfect state, well packed, and the design is modern and clean. They go really well with my square porcelain dinner plates because of the shape of the handle. I would not say they are "huge" like other reviewers suggested. They are large, but perhaps more suitable for hot chocolate, cappuccino/latte and some soups. I used it for cereal, but I personally prefer a cup with a larger circumference/opening for that purpose. You can certainly use them for cereal, but I will likely stick to larger cups and use these for hot drinks instead. See pictures to compare the size between a regular diameter tall cup, this item, and what I consider a "huge" extra large cup. This item is the cup in the center of the lineup. You can also see the size in relation to a regular soup spoon. The spoon often hit the walls of the cup as I was getting the cereal, which I personally don't like (but that's just me). Again, I will suggest using these mainly for hot beverages. They are in fact stackable, which is a great feature. However, like other reviewers mentioned, it will be more stable if you only stack two at a time (rather than all four);but it can certainly be done as you see in the pictures. In terms of capacity, the package lists 19 ounces. In practice, you will likely fill between 14-16oz. See the last picture with the cup filled with water. That is 16 oz of liquid (2 cups, measured) and you can see that is quite close to the rim. Realistically, you will likely get 14 ounces of liquid comfortably during regular use. This is still more capacity than a regular, 6-8 oz mug.I also tested them in the microwave. They were fine, but depending on how long you need to warm up the food/drink, the cup can get fairly hot. I was able to (quickly) grab the handle to take it out and place it on a table with my bare hands; but you need to be careful if you warm things up for more than 3 minutes (as with most porcelain microwaveable plates/cups). When you add hot liquids into the cup (e.g., hot chocolate or tea), the handle stays comfortably cool.Overall, I would recommend this product of you are looking for white, modern white cups.

Useful and high quality
These cups came packaged well (maybe too well as I had to get through three boxes to get to the items!) and arrived with no damage. The cups are very nice with a sturdy feel and good size. The bottoms are a little more angled than the photos led me to believe so they definitely look more like a food cup than a beverage cup, though they could definitely be used for either. I'm not sure that they're worth $10 each, but they are high quality. Can recommend if the price is acceptable to others.

Nice, Clean and Classic Design. I Have Thick Fingers and I Can Hold These Mugs Well. 5 Stars.
Hi, this review is of the Libbey Austin 17.5-ounce Large Porcelain Coffee Mug, Set of 4, White Libbey Austin 17.5-ounce Large Porcelain Coffee Mug, Set of 4, White. These are very well-made mugs in my opinion. They look great and hold the larger amounts of drink that I like. And they're good for soup, chili, the over-night type of oats & fruit that seem to be quite popular now, and similar foods.I have pretty thick fingers and often trying hold mugs and cups with handles is not comfortable. Many times, I can only fit one finger into the handle, and it just makes things awkward as the cup wants to tip forward and putting a finger under the cup when it contains hot liquid is not an option. Ouch.Although while using these Libby Austin mugs, I can't stack my index and middle fingers, there's enough room that I can put my middle finger in front of my index finger; they're kind of stepped rather than stacked. It's not perfect for me, but it is reasonably comfortable. I'll include a picture of what I mean by stepped rather than stacked. They are microwaveable. It's just a nice, clean, classically designed mug. I really like them.I'm not sure what else to say about these mugs. If you receive the same quality mugs that I received, I think you'll be happy with them.

GREAT "MUGS" FOR EVERYTHING FROM COFFEE TO SOUP, MADE FROM VITRIFIED CHINA
I thought these would be diner-style coffee cups, but they’re ginormous! In a great way. They can definitely be large coffee cups, but they can also serve more than one purpose.First, I want to say something about the porcelain of these cups, because I don’t think Libbey makes enough of the fact that their Austin line is made from VITRIFIED CHINA. You don’t find that every day.Vitrified china is a type of porcelain that’s been fired at a very high temperature, which makes it very strong and durable. It’s also non-porous, which means that it is resistant to staining and chipping. This is because the high firing temperature melts the clay and feldspar together and creates a very hard and dense material.Vitrified china is made from a mixture of kaolin clay, feldspar, and bone ash. The bone ash is what gives vitrified china its white color and also makes it stronger and more durable than other types of porcelain.I have a thing for vitrified china; it really feels great on the lip. So I'm sorry to go on.Aside from coffee, here’s what I’m planning to serve in these “mugs.” Creamy soups, such as tomato soup, broccoli cheddar soup, and chicken noodle soup, are all good options for a 19oz cup. They are also relatively easy to make and can be easily customized.Salads can also be served in a 19oz cup. A soup and salad combo.Side dishes, such as pasta salad, fruit salad, or quinoa salad. These dishes are typically lighter than soups and salads, so they are a good option if you are looking for a smaller meal. And let’s not forget desserts, such as pudding, mousse, and ice cream. And of course fruit salad.
