10pcs Silicon PHOTODIODE 390 to 675nm Visible Spectral Detector 565nm Photodiodes

I ordered this to sense these red laser diodes I also bought at Amazon:  Ketofa 1 X WYHP Mini Laser Dot Diode Module Head WL Red 650nm 6mm 5V 5mW Pack of 10pcs . The red laser 650nm frequency was within the listed range of this photodiode but I was concerned because it is near the edge and it might sense the light, but not well.Tested one on arrival and it worked great with a transistor to adapt to logic level. Rejected the ambient light nicely. Now I can use my Raspberry Pi as a laser break beam sensor for a photography project. It's a bonus not to have to shield it from ambient light. It's a nice looking unit and the leads work fine in a solderless breadboard.Will have fun thinking up uses for the rest of these. If I had the initiative I might bundle these and the lasers together with the transistor and resell it as a kit.Delivery was not quick but it was as advertised.
