New Balance Men's 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer

I am thoroughly amazed and grateful these are just what I needed. My last pair of NB were walking shoes and was last bought 5 or 6 years ago. I do tons of walking but don't drag my feet so the soles don't wear fast and I don't let them get wet, but it was time to get a new pair. These new ones are perfect in every way, absolute comfort, roominess, but snug enough fit with a good amount of comfort padding inside, and they have the exact size dimensions of the last size 15's I had from 5 to 6 years ago, maybe a slight tad wider for even better comfort. I love that they don't pronate (tilt to one side from overly spongy soles) and are even more stable for the ankle than the last ones. They also don't have excessive heel height which is a huge problem for me in this trend of making heels too high since i have ankle issues and had to have surgery on my feet at age 4, so I was told my my orthopedic doctor my feet could not handle excess sloping, i.e., higher heels. In this regard, it reminds me of barefoot shoes with a flatter more even profile, but still with good arch support and still perfect shock absorbing comfort (not excessive since I can't handle excess arches). Glad I came across the perfect fit shoe for me, though there is one thing I hope will last and that is four of the shoelace eyelets in the middle were done differently for stylistic reasons: they are put through some type of fabric loop instead of the leather that the other holes are made to go through. If those loops have stitching that fails at some point then one would have to resort to drilling a hole into the leather where it normally would go through because they had to do this "cool" looking style feature. Who knows, maybe it will last okay. The price is great too, and hope they don't read this and raise it!

I HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING 6E EXTRA WIDE SNEAKERS IN THE STORES. I FOUND THAT REEBOK,SKECHERS AND NEW BALANCE WORK FOR ME. MEMORY FOAM SNEAKERS ARE JUNK. I HAD NEW BALANCE 608 IN THE PAST IN A SIZE 4E.MY REEBOKS HAVE DONE IT'S JOB AND TIME TO REPLACE.I'M VERY HAPPY WITH MY NEW NEW BALANCE MX608V5 IN SIZE 6E EXTRA WIDE. TRUE TO SIZE AND COMFORTABLE.I LIKE THAT I CAN USE MY OWN ORTHOTICS INSERTS. THE ONE THAT COME WITH THE SNEAKERS ARE THIN, BUT ARE REMOVABLE, AS MOST SNEAKERS YOU CAN TAKE THEM OUT. 5 STARS FROM ME

I was in desperate need of new cross-training sneakers for the gym. I tried a pair of Pumas but returned them. I just didn't like the fit. I decided to order these New Balance cross-trainers and after one one, love them. They are very supportive and comfortable. I like the style, too. I like white sneakers but not all white. These have a gray sole and light gray highlights which work great for me; exactly what I wanted.

I have purchased these same shoes 4 previous times. They fit well and I've always been very happy with them. This pair is marked the same size but feel too narrow, however. I measured them against the old pair and found they are a half centimeter narrower on the sole tread. I guess I'll exchange them for the wide version and see how that goes.

I bought this pair of shoes for my father who has mobility issues. The shoe comes in wide width and fits a little smaller than the normal 608 New Balance (which is blue and white) Good strong sole. Takes a beating, and the leather exterior holds up well. Laces are long enough to work well, and they stay tied. Clean up pretty well. My dad likes that they are a little dressier looking but with the everyday comfort of tennis shoes.As far as price Amazon currently has the best price. Even with famous footwears BOGO sales you're still going to get it cheaper on amazon.

New Balance holds up better than any other walking / running tennis shoes I have ever had. I put a lot of mileage every day walking and hiking and I got tired of always having to buy new tennis shoes all of the time. With New Balance, I am good to go for a long long time !!! I am a size 10 and these fit great! I got them wide width because my foot tends to swell a little. It provides your foot with just the right amount of cushion and support for your feet. The quality is great and thick enough to where it does not break easily! Can never go wrong with new balance!

Excellent fit. I have another pair of New Balance that is 4E. They are a good fit but a little wide. If I really tighten the laces it’s fine. So I was going to go with the xx wide. Amazon said that the really wide is frequently returned. So I took Amazon advice and just went with X wide. It was a good call. Perfect fit. Hope this helps.
