It worked!
In recent years, I seem to have become more attractive to those pesky mosquitoes and so I've tried a few different things to help deter them. This bracelet looked good as it was quite stylish but also had a purpose! The smell wasn't too strong or unpleasant and I definitely didn't suffer with as many hours as I normally do so very happy?

The best of its kind but not a total solution
So I’ve tested loads of types of mosquito-repellent bracelets (snap on, stretchy, coily, leather, twisted!) and this one is not only the most aesthetically-pleasing but also the most effective. The wooden design is cute (though rather chunky) and the capsule doesn’t come in contact with skin so there is no irritation. It’s stretchy and easy enough to put on. I feel it is over-priced for what it is but I’m still happy with the product overall. However (and this is a BIG however), it does not protect all of you from mosquitoes. I can vouch for its efficacy on the arm it was worn. The other arm and legs and elsewhere were indeed bitten frequently. So unless you wear a bracelet on each of your wrists and ankles (and neck!), your protection will be very limited. That said, it did a better job than the other bracelets I wore where I was still bitten right next to the bracelets…. I was up against Italian mosquitoes on my last trip so perhaps efficacy will differ depending on location and variety of mosquito.I will still keep this bracelet as I feel “every-little-helps” but I’ll be stocking up on DEET sprays as it seems to be the only sure-fire way to keep the pests at bay sadly.

Comfortable to wear, haven't tested efficacy yet
Tired of using the usual sprays, I decided to give this mosquito repellant a go. Haven't been on holiday to any countries that need it yet but the smell is strong enough to make me think it would have an effect, just a shame that it isn't the best smell (although no similar product is)You get two repellant pills which seem easy enough to install, there's a small window in them to tell when they have run out. The bracelet is comfortable to use and stretches enough to get around any sized wrists..

Attractive piece of jewellery
Haven’t used this yet as weather has been atrocious this year and haven’t encountered any mosquitoes but the item is attractive and I shall be happy to wear it when needed

Simple and elegant anti mosquito bracelet
I'm always looking for ways to discourage mosquito's on my travels so given the chance to try something new I was happy to do so. The bracelet itself is all wood and on a slightly elasticated band, it was easy to wear and not at all heavy as well as not looking like an anti mosquito device but more like an artisan bracelet. The little green capsule is stored in the bracelet cylinder and is removed to be changed by pushing through with a pen or something similar . To be honest I have not actually tried this as the original ampoule is still going strong. I have only seen citronella used in the tiki style torches before so in the coming months will be interesting to see it's full efficacy. The fragrance itself is very fresh without being overpowering but if you don't like lemon then maybe this is not for you. The bracelet as well as the spare ampoule should be kept in their plastic bags when not in use and the manufacturer suggests that they will remain active for 18 days. Replacement ampoules are available on Amazon at the cost of £5 for 2. At the time of writing this review the bracelet and one spare ampoule is £19.99 which I felt was a little expensive overall but then again what price do you put on not getting bit by mossies. I think I will be buying the larger version in the hope that it will fit on my ankle as mosquitos seem to like my feet but would also liked to have seen a necklace of a similar design so you could match accessories. My next trip is coming up very soon so am looking ward to hopefully being mossie free.

Very confident this will work.
It's maybe a bit early in the year to be writing a review about insect repellent but I feel confident enough in this item to be able to say it has a good chance of working.I live in the Scottish Highlands where the midges are ferocious when they are active. I have tried all sorts of repellents and some have been useless whilst others have been quite effective. A few years ago I was on holiday in France and I saw some citronella oil for sale and decided to buy some. Used neat on a paper towel and then dabbed on clothing it proved to be the best of all the repellents I had tried. The capsule in this bracelet contains citronella as a major ingredient and it certainly smells just the same as my French purchase. I am a sure as I can be that it will be a great midge repellent. The bracelet consists of a string of wooden beads with a capsule holder. The capsules are about 4cm long and 1.5cm in diameter and just slot in and out of the holder when a replacement is needed.I have to be frank and say that the bracelet is not something I would ever choose to wear were it not for it holding an insect repellent capsule. But, believe me when I say, the highland midge is the most fearsome of bugs so I will wear it whether I think it looks good or not. Anything for a midge-free summer's evening.I have every confidence in this bracelet but will edit my review, if required, later in the year. At £19.99 I feel it is a wee bit on the expensive side but on the other hand it will worth ten times that if it works.
