Dry skin for dogs
I bought this at the time as the reviews were good but I didn't see no change or anything which was a shame it didn't work on my dog as to what I would have liked to to have done

Wound powder with different ingredients. Large tub with spoon and cotton balls, safety cap
So you get a large tub of powder which contains a scoop and cotton balls as well. Inside is a fine brown powder which has a nice herb-y smell. This may be because this product contains 2 herbs, Yarrow and White Oak Bark, in addition to the main ingredient Sodium Carbomer.I wanted styptic powder because it's a pet First Aid Essential. Used on minor wounds to help stop bleeding, a blood clotting agent like this is worth keeping in the cupboard in case of accidents, or hopefully not, a nail clipping whoops. My fur baby loves running into thick foliage and is accident prone so has hurt her paw a few times and this will be useful if there is bleeding or she catches a dew claw. The interesting thing about this product is most styptic powders use Ferric Subsulfate, an iron compound, to speed clotting and to stop bleeding. This product does not contain that but the main ingredient, Sodium Carbomer, is an ingredient commonly used in cosmetics to create films. I looked at other dog styptic powders and found others that contain it as the main ingredient so I presume it must work. But I am removing one star because although the product description says Styptic Powder, this is nowhere to be found on the label. The label says Wound and Skin Repair Powder. So it isn't technically Styptic Powder although it may work in a similar fashion. It would be helpful if the manufacturer provided more information on the product as usage warnings for Styptic Powder containing Ferric Subsulfate say it should not be used on deep wounds or burns. I do not know when not to use this powder with these ingredients.I'm happy to try something on myself and my dog that only has 3 ingredients and is meant "to stop bleeding, prevent infection and promote healing" and will update once one of us has an accident and I've been able to try. Probably me in the kitchen, again. Fortunately the dog does not play with knives, and even more fortunately for her, doesn't have to cook!So seems like a good product to have for accidents. Has 2 year shelf life on my pack. Good price for amount of powder. Will probably decant some into a hotel mini jam jar to keep in the car and for trips so always have handy.Hope that helps!

Big tub
I have an excessively happy spaniel who regularly splits the tip of her tail with wagging it just too much, I've been finding this wound powder is really handy to put on the wound and reduce the risk of an infection because amputating tails on adult dogs isn't a straightforward operation and it's something I'd rather not have to put her through.Really good product and being such a large tub I can see it lasting for ages.

Fast healing?
Not sure what in this product actually supports fast healing. The list of ingredients isn’t advertised but the bottle says: Aqua, <5% salt, <5% hypocholorous acidWater won’t do it, salt will help with infection and this type of acid is good at killing bacteria, better than bleach actually if you didn’t know! Though it is safe to use on skin. It’s even used widely in cosmetics to treat acne.I’m just not sure what it will do to speed up healing? It doesn’t have any vitamins in it, etc so perhaps it’s just a stretch one used on a disinfectant.I ordered also the “anti-bacterial dental spray” from this brand and the list of ingredients is identical! I can’t tell if one has i.e. 1% acid and the other 4% as it just says less than 5%… could it be the same mixture sold as two different products from the same brand? Food for thought!Luckily, I don’t have anything to disinfect on my dog at the moment as he’s quite well, but I am happy to have something in a cabinet for a just in case if he hurts his paws again running on a beach full of stones. It is quite pricey thought for just an antiseptic spray, but it is often the case with products targeted at our pets. Now you know the ingredients list, you can decide for yourself if it is worth it to you at £43.96 per litre.
