Salters-Nuffield A level Biology Student Book 2 + ActiveBook (Salters-Nuffield Advanced Biology(2015))

Great book for the course but such a shame how they put a code for a download version in the book when it is published that auto expires in 1year, my son is doing 4 A levels and all require large books like this, to help with the weight in his bag he uses the books at home and downloads the workbook to his laptop for school, means his bag weights so much less each day, but as these books have clearly sat in Amazon’s warehouse for over a year the codes have already expired when the new book arrives! not the end of the world as you can call the helpline number and eventually after giving them various details photos and evidence that you have and own the book they will give you another code but it is a right faff and took x2 days of spending ages in a online chat with them and bouncing emails back and forth. Why they cannot just do a code that you scratch off under a foil strip like a scratch card, it is unfair to print a code that exports before you have even bought the book new!

This seems to be a common issue according to other reviews. The online code had expired. After going round in circles trying to contact Pearson I managed to find a link to online chat. Getting a replacement code was fairly simple after providing a photo of the current code. But this really shouldn't be necessary. I would have given the book 4 or 5 stars but have reduced it to 3 due to the waste of time. My recommendation would be to buy from somewhere that has more recent stock of books so should not have expired codes. This is not a cheak book so wasting customers time is not really on.

Bought for my daughter for A levels. School said there was no need to buy and in non-covid times there probably wasnt but very grateful to have had these and they've been invaluable. Great text book, complements the syllabus and good to sort out confusion and show what the main learning points actually are.

Excellent book for A Level Biology students. Comprised of explicit theory texts and activity questions with answers at the back and additional informative sections referred to as "Did you know?"and with great drawings to help retain info via visual memory. Most importantly it is up to date and directly relevant to the new exams specifications and rendered interesting. A worthy purchase!
