I was told this was the best performing aerial, and it is very good
It's been really difficult trying to work out which is the best coaxial indoor digital TV aerial to buy; there are so many reviews that contradict each other, and so many unknown brands to choose from - it was a bit of a nightmare.Eventually I referred to a well-known tech site that I knew I could trust, and they recommended this model and brand as the best one - I went for it because it was a brand that I recognised from their very good omni-compatible remote controls that they've been making for a long time.First off - I was NOT HAPPY AT ALL that this was obviously a customer return; the box was chafed and creased, and was clearly not new. Why am I paying full price for a used product? Also... It came with a two-pin plug! This wasn't mentioned in the listing, and it was just lucky that I happened to have a converter in the kit gen drawer. That's really not very good.OK. Now I've vented my spleen, I shall get to the matter at hand - the aerial:I live in Twickenham. The nearest transmitter is Crystal Palace, which I would guess is about 8 miles away, to the South-East. It is a built-up area, and my front room is on the corner of the house. The aerial itself has its own power supply, which amplifies the signal it receives (don't ask me how). From one side of the room (facing north) I got no channels, but on the east side, after a short period of trial and error, I first got 77, then 150.This was, in my opinion, very good, and much better than the other budget unit that I tried, which did not have its own power supply. The design of the aerial is rigid on a stand (see picture), which means that it is much more suited to sitting on a surface - unfortunately that's not always where the best reception is! So at the moment it's sitting on the back of the sofa in rather a haphazard fashion. The coaxial plug goes right into the socket of the box without the need for an adaptor, and it's about 6 foot in length - I could do with a longer one.Overall, the picture is consistent, the signal is strong, and it is significantly better than the other one, which would have cost half the price. It's good. And your can trust me on that. The real problem you might have is not being able to get reception, is yours in the wrong area, or even simply facing the wrong way.

DIDN'T WORK FOR ME - BEING RETURNED
This arrived on time and appears to be good quality. However, it did not give me any benefit over a simple stick antenna ! Also, there is no visible indication that it is on and working. From other reviews, it appears to work well for some people but (having tried it in every conceivable position) it did not work for me - and I am only 8 miles from our local transmitter. One star as it did not work for me and others need to be aware that it might or might not work for them.I am returning it.

I combined this with a separate stand-alone booster too, and it's been amazing
I've not successfully used terrestrial TV since the late 90's, but I'm sick of my tv, internet and phone bill constantly increasing in price and being a battle - especially as we don't use most of the bundles, and this is why terrestrial TV sounds so appealing because it's a one-off cost. After much research of different brands and types I picked this One for All SV9385 from an Amazon Warehouse deal for around £28 along with a separate wired signal booster https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DB22ZUC/- to be clear, this antenna has a signal booster built in but I wanted to make sure I gave the signal the maximum chance to work. And it definitely works - like an absolute dream! This antenna is modern in design, it's not small but it's sleek enough to be discrete. It has a line in the centre of the front panel that looks like it should have some sort of LED indicator in it, but there's no light, nothing at all to tell you it's working. I had the integrated signal booster set to it's default high position, fed this though the standalone signal booster, and out to my TV. It detected every single channel available in my area and then some! I've been very impressed so far. The only downside is that my (admittedly somewhat overkill) setup needs two separate power plug - but I think it's completely worth it.Considering that this whole setup was delivered to my door by Amazon for less than a single months payment of my tv service, and has no recurring bills, I think this represents fantastic value for money!

Pity about the connections (grey import?)
The aerial booster does "what it says on the tin" - and it is a good looking bit of kit too. But it was supplied with a continental plug-in transforme (plug and transformer are integrated do you cannot change the plug, either) and the connector cable was male-to-male where I needed a female end for my set (is that not a standard?)With much swearing and searching I found adapters to get it running. But its a kludge. I need two more - they will come from a real shop so that I can see what I am getting.

Très bonne antenne intérieur

Funktion
Ansonsten sehr gute Antenne. Funktion 5 Sterne.
