My daughter is deaf and had a sensory issue with falling asleep and staying asleep. She constantly needed one of us to "nice her" or keep a hand upon her so she could feel us while she slept. We struggled for months on how to get her to sleep through the night and literally just fall asleep in the first place, I'd been looking for a sustainable and organic, kids-weighted blanket for a while, and after some searching, I came across Bearaby. I decided on Bearaby because of its equally distributed weight and the fact that it's extremely ventilated and soft as she is a hot sleeper. Since Day 1 this blanket has saved us all. She falls asleep within minutes and stays asleep all through the night. It has been a life saver and we are so thankful we finally gave it a go. Thank you! Also a bonus is the other little one loves it as well!

Wonderful weight for younger kids!

This was a gift for my daughter but it really turned out to be a gift for the parents too! Before the Nappling, we were supervising what had turned into the longest bedtime routine ever, not to mention the wake-ups in the middle of the night. Daughter is now falling asleep faster than ever, plus she loves the blanket so much that she takes it with her to visit the grandparents. We had never heard of a weighted blanket for kids before but it turns out this is exactly what she needed.

For a small business, one would think that a new customer would feel valued, and receive white glove service... This is not the case with Bearaby. TL;DR my $250 blanket was delivered to an incorrect address, and Bearaby refused to help, stating that I should've purchased their Cargo Care shipment insurance.Go with Nuzzie- better quality, bang for your buck. and a team that cares.

My 5 yr old loves weighted blankets, but most of them make him hot due to fabric that isn’t as breathable. This Bearaby weighted blanket is awesome. It has a really neat texture because of it’s loose chunky weave design. That’s definitely alot more breathable and cool.I love that Bearaby blankets are washable, however, this did shrink a bit. I dried it on low heat and after 90 minutes it was still damp, so I bumped it up to medium low and it was dry, but the knit seemed smaller and didn’t fit his bed as well. The material is nice and stretchy though, so it wasn’t a huge issue. That’s probably my only complaint. When you’re dealing with breathable cotton fabric that is thick and heavy, it takes longer to dry and, well, it might shrink a bit.Despite the price, I know my son will use this blanket for a long time and when he gets too big, it will become a great throw blanket. Right now it fits his twin bed well.I would highly recommend Bearaby’s weighted blanket. It IS more expensive than other weighted blankets on the market, but it’s made with better material/fabric. It’s also washable and you can enjoy the bliss of a weighted blanket without getting overly hot and smothered. The quality certainly makes it worth the price.

There's just something about it. I'm not sure what it is, but as I draped this blanket over my legs and torso last night I quickly started to feel an emotional BOND develop. Is this normal?Perhaps it doesn't matter, because this blanket ISN'T normal. To call it a "weighted blanket" isn't strictly accurate, anyway; there is nothing INSIDE it to make it heavier - it's just DENSE. It's a WEIGHTY blanket. What that means is that you'll no longer have to shake and rearrange your weighted blanket to get all the plastic pellets reoriented toward the middle. It's weight is and will always be uniformly distributed. That's huge.I should admit that I didn't actually get this blanket for a child. I got it for myself: a 5'10" 170 lb. adult male. The realization that subtle pressure on your chest creates a calming effect first occurred to me years ago when my dentist placed a lead blanket over my chest and upper thighs before taking an x-ray. This was long before weighted blankets were commercially available. It struck me how PEACEFUL I felt. Deciding that LEAD was not something I needed to sleep under, I looked for ways to recreate the experience. Once others started making and selling such blankets, I still had trouble finding one that was both comparable in weight and that didn't retain so much heat that I couldn't bear to sleep under it.I believe I've FINALLY found the heavy blanket that's RIGHT FOR ME. It's about as long as my queen bed, and 2/3 as wide, essentially throw size. And despite the premium price, I appreciate that it's skillfully hand woven from nothing but cotton.If your (or your child's) experience with weighted blankets has been anything like mine, I can't recommend this one highly enough.

I ORDERED THIS WEIGHTED BLANKET FOR I WANTED TO SEE WHY THIS BLANKET COSTS $169.00. WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT A WEIGHTED BLANKET. NOW IF I WASN'T A VINE MEMBER I WOULDN'T HAVE ORDERED THIS FOR I HAVE A HUBBY, SMALL KIDS, THREE DOGS AND A FISH!!! SO THERE ISN'T TOO MUCH MONEY LAYING AROUND TO AFFORD SUCH A LUXURY. NOW HAVING SAID ALL THAT, I HAVE RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME AND IF ANY OF YOU HAVE IT OR KNOW SOMEONE THAT HAS IT, IT CAN BE UNBEARABLE AT NIGHT AND THERE ARE MANY TIMES I JUST DON'T SLEEP AND I MEAN FOR THE WHOLE NIGHT. I DO TAKE PARKINSON'S MEDICINE TO HELP COMBAT IT, BUT IT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK. SORRY FOR THE LONG BACK STORY, BUT I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO GIVE A LITTLE HISTORY FIRST. SO THE OTHER NIGHT I DIDN'T GET TO BED UNTIL 5:30 A.M.. THAT EVENING I WAS HAVING AN ISSUE AGAIN AND AROUND 2:30 A.M. I NEEDED TO DO SOMETHING SO I WENT DOWNSTAIRS AND PULLED OUT THE BLANKET FROM IT'S PACKAGING AND BROUGHT IT UPSTAIRS AND LET ME TELL YOU I AM NOW A TRUE BELIEVER. THAT EIGHT POUNDS OF WEIGHT WAS JUST ENOUGH TO HELP ME RELAX ENOUGH TO FALL ASLEEP. THE BLANKET IS VERY WELL MADE AND I LOVE THE LIGHT GRAY, BUT REALLY THE PRICE POINT IS JUST TOO HIGH FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME. I AM NOT SURE WHAT GOES INTO MAKING ONE OF THESE, BUT I FEEL THE MOST PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO AFFORD THIS BLANKET AND IT IS TRULY A SHAME FOR IT REALLY WORKS!!!
