I bought this to replace a similar rounded pin hairbrush I have had and loved for years. I love the effect of rounded wooden pins on the scalp, very comfortable and soothing. I bought a straight wood pin hairbrush a while ago that was just too uncomfortable on my scalp, so the search continued. First, the pros. this hairbrush is very nicely made. The handle is comfortable to hold, the finish is smooth without imperfections, the brush is made from a single piece of wood, not glued together bits, the wood pegs are stimulating without being scratchy. They even include extra pins in case any pop out and get lost. It appears to be a very good quality brush. And they even include a smaller purse sized brush for free. I did not unwrap the smaller brush but it appears to be of the same good quality as the medium sized brush. Now the con; the brush has a very noticeable chemical smell, which I assume is the varnish on the body and handle, though I am unsure. For me this is a deal breaker, as I am sensitive to smells. I suspect for many people the smell would not be an issue, and I also suspect that the smell would dissipate over time, but for me, I don't want it in my airspace. As a comparison, I purchased the Burstenhaus Redecker Maple Pin Pocket hairbrush at the same time as this Kalevel brush, and the Burstenhaus brush, though it does not have the rounded knobs on the end of the pins, is not too abrasive on the scalp, but rather quite stimulatory and pleasant. The burstenhaus brush has a wood handle that appears to be unfinished, though they claim it is waxed, and has a very subtle pleasant wood smell. It is also much smaller than this Kalevel brush. I hope this review is helpful for someone.

These are great. Two brushes for ten bucks. I keep the small one at work and the other at home. Doesn't pull my thin, fine hair.

Terrible. The pad which holds the bristles keeps coming out of the wooden handle. Less than worthless.

Compact and cute looking brush. Doesn’t pull your hair and I loved that it comes with another travel size little brush!

Received the medium sized brush plus a smaller travel sized brush and carry pouch. The bristle are made of wood with round wooden tips that don't scratch your scalp. It's a quality brush and I use it every day. No issues to report.
