Great Tower!
Just received this machine and it took me about 4 hrs to put together;I work slow and I wanted to make sure I put it together correctly. First I want to say that the machine is:Solid! No complaints on its construction. However; the base could have been just a bit wider for extra stability, but it is stable nonetheless, it just needs to be on carpet or a quality weight machine mat for extra stability due to its base not being extra wide. I put in my unfinished basement on concrete and it wobbled until I put a weight machine mat under it and then it was sturdy without any wobble or movement. Next; you can tell that this machine was really made for the weight assisted machine part. The reason for this is that the dip part has the small stands for your feet but they are very far in front for a comfortable knee raises. Meaning that when you do a knee raise and you are done you almost have to lunge forward to use the feet to get down. I assume this is because with the weight assisted piece (FCD-stk) there is a pad there where you can put your knees so that helps as step before using the small little steps that you see to get down. Without that pad you have nothing but air and a long way to extend your feet to get to the little steps. That is about the only thing that is kind of a pain,I suppose people with big feet may not have a problem with that part, though. I solve it by putting a small stool in that area as a first step extension to use before stepping on the small two steps on the machine to get down, this is the reason for the four out of five stars. Other than that this tower is Great and well worth the money over the thinner and less robust towers available for less money. If you can get this, get it! You will be getting a very strong solid machine that will last you for a life time; the lifetime warranty on pads and the frame by Body Solid is also an extra plus.Happy Work Out!
