Great product
Quality and functional backpack , size is about right for short hikes of a few hours . Expensive compared to a lot of similar backpacks , if a get a few years use out of it , it is money well spent.

Great bag
Already have a large Osprey for longer hikes but this one is a great day pack - super light with all the usual Osprey features. Quality bag.

Great for cycling, hiking and sightseeing
Highly recommend this bag - it's compact but can fit everything you need when you're out an about, you can run with it and the helmet clip is super useful. Love the colour too.

Osprey hiking backpack
This bag is brilliant, the design and flexibility on what you can pack on or in it is amazing. Bike helmet, water bottle, walking poles plus all your daily needs. Would highly recommend watching the You tube video to understand its flexibility

Ideal for cycling
Perfect for cycling. The helmet clip is wonderfully clever. Can fit marking and work shirts in there. Space for a cover bag.Could be bigger but then would impact it being a sold cycle bag.Still feel the need to add lights mind.

Fantastic quality
Bought as a present for my son-in-law, who is a climber and loves walking. He was delighted with it. He said it was the most comfortable rucksack he has owned.

Great bag.. full back length
Great bag.. just ask your self if you want a FULL back length bag, if yes then this is a great bag. I use my for MTBing and it’s spot on.

perfectly compact
Perfect for when I hike lightly for a few hours (i carry extra water, first aid, snacks, and an extra set of clothing too), take it to entertainment parks (i.e. di/sne/y), and make it my personal bag for flights since it fits pretty much anywhere. I've had it quite a few years now and love this pack (esp the double buckles above the chest and at stomach)

I love the Talon so much, I have two of them
I bought the Talon 11 after already owning the 22, because I love this line of packs so much. The 11 is perfect for light, day hikes, which frankly the 22 is already very good at, but if you want to go super-minimal, the 11 is your pack of choice. I use it far more than my 22 for my day hikes, and it fits all the hiking essentials (minus shelther--see REI's 10 essentials list). My only gripe would be the belt pouches, which are too small to fit in most decent sized phones.

Chest strap position adjustable
Note that the up and down location of the chest strap along the shoulder strap is adjustable. As received, mine placed the strap too far up near my neck. I initially thought this pack would not therefore fit my body. The gray plastic part of the chest strap fits around a stiff round tube that is attached to the shoulder strap. That plastic piece can be slid up or down along that tube and requires some force to do so.A 24 oz/710 ml water bottle does fit into the side bottle holders but would be difficult to reach around to with the pack on one’s back. The size and locations of the straps of the Talon 11 and its vertical size appear to be the same as the woman’s 20. Thus the volume difference appears to be in the outward extension of the pack.

Well-designed compact daypack
I just completed a 19-mile day hike on the Appalachian Trail with this pack. It is very well designed and has two roomy hip belt pockets (iPhone, lip balm, spare trash), a top zipper pocket (tissues, first aid kit), an inside zipper pocket (car keys), two side pockets (two 1L Smart Waters), and one large compartment (everything else!). I didn't use the hip belt or chest straps until later in the hike when I was fatiguing and starting to feel the weight of the pack, and they helped distribute the weight nicely. I did not experience any chafing from this pack. There are various loops and straps on the outside that I attached my towel and antibaterical gel to. One was specifically marked for trekking poles, but I didn't carry any on this hike so I didn't use this feature. I also did not carry a hydration bladder on the hike but will next time; I had to take my pack off to grab my water bottles in the side pockets. Though not unique to this pack, one downside of a top-loading main compartment is inaccessibility. I had to unpack everything to get to my water filter at the bottom of the bag. Overall a great pack; highly recommended.
