I cannot recommend this carrier enough!I'd been looking for a carrier for my 2 floofs/cats that I could travel with, go to the vet with etc. and was hoping that it would help soothe my other cats anxiety. He notoriously hated the large hard carrier I had for him. I always had a towel or blanket on the bottom, but he hated the spring door and latch. This soft carrier is extremely well built, sturdy, stable, and very spacious for larger cats. The bottom pad is wood with a thin plush gray velvet over it. It's thin but very soft. Fine for everything except going on very long journeys. There are locking zippers, metal side hooks for the shoulder strap instead of plastic, which impressed me, top, side, front and attachment side doors. When you unzip the mesh doors, you roll them up and stick them to Velcro to stay. There are handles and a shoulder strap, but it's easy to carry. There are metal pieces sewn into the side fabric, so the carrier never sags. The carrier is true to size, because I did measure it when I set it up. It had the smell of a new piece of luggage for a few days when I first had it out. Nothing too overpowering and I'm extremely sensitive to chemical smells like the animals. I mention this because in my research for carriers, I'd seen carriers I was interested in, only to see in the 1 and 2 star reviews that they had a very strong chemical smell. This carrier does not have that.I researched for a long time something that would help my cat Gabriel travel comfortably and change his perception of traveling. I put this carrier out with the main carrier door and the attachment pop up open and the door on the attachment open the minute I got it because his vet visit was 6 days away and I wanted him to get used to it before I put him in it. My girl Stella stayed in it right from the start. But it took about 2 days for both of them to "claim" it. She took to it right away. He followed her lead 2 days later. They've been sleeping and playing in it ever since. I waited to write this review until I traveled with Gabriel and took him to the vet in it. I'm extremely happy to say, we had a very successful day! I also switched his vet because the last one moved too fast, and the office was noisy and chaotic in general, so I changed the vet and the carrier to change his experience of having to go out.I threw a treat into his carrier and then zipped up the front door, so I didn't even need to pick him up and force him in. The last 2 pictures are Gabriel in the carrier waiting to go into his appointment today. He wasn't overly happy going in lol He did still cry a little bit coming and going from the vet, but nothing like he used to. Plus I sprayed Sentry's Calming Spray (recommended) into the carrier 30 minutes before we left. I also left 2 toys that were in there with him and attached a black travel pack bag (6th picture) that had velcro tabs that I could attach for traveling since I knew he can be a shy and anxious cat in the past when traveling. Normally, it is open mesh top. The mesh held up with him as well. He is a 13 pound cat for reference.The 1st picture is my cat Stella checking this carrier out right after I got it and put it down on the floor. She's about 10 pounds to give you reference of size.What I love is this carrier acts as both a play zone and carrier all in one. You can easily customize it as well. I wish they'd put a security flap option on here but outside of that, they thought of everything. The attachment is very easy to close. It "pops" in or out depending on how you want it set up. There's plenty of room and it's very comfortable for cats that traditionally have problems in other carriers if you set the environment up right for them to feel comfortable in advance. Overall, I am so happy I bought this (because I was seriously considering another carrier for color I liked better but it was just a carrier with no attachments) and since I've gotten this, it has both relieved me, but more importantly my cat of those scary travel times. Plus, my cats LOVE playing in this, running in and out of it and sleeping in it in general. I've had cats all my life, I do cat rescue, have fostered in the past and network and this makes things so much easier going forward. Highly recommend.

What a nice cat carrier! Roomy, sturdy, comfortable for my cat. I've left it out for Socks to inspect. I sprinkled a bit of cat nip in it and he hopped right in. Since then, he's been in and out. Wonderful product!

Traveled from NY to Florida this carrier allowed extra space, kitty comfy and content whole trip! ..do clip the zippers to prevent opening as designed.

I've purchased several different types of carriers for my cats based on each cat's needs. It's been challenging finding the right ones for short and long road trips. I often take 5 to 7 hour road trips with them. I love that these fold down flat for storage but more importantly they expand and are able to fit a small portable litter box. They are tall enough for my cats to stand in them and have plenty of mesh sides for airflow and visibility. My cats got used to them very quickly. Now if only the company would make a double stroller where I could set them into the carriers and walk them around!

I am reviewing pidipiti 20 x 14 x 14 inches Expandable pet Carrier for 1 Large cat. This is a big (but not too big), tall cat carrier- solid and sturdy. It has three openings ( the third when the expander is open). It has a strong heavy duty plastic cardboard (if thats even right, idk, but its not carboard completely). It has a shoulder strap as well as handle pieces. I can fit 2 cats 10lbs each comfortably- they can stand and lay about just fine without the the expander. This is actually one of my favourites pieces I have ordered on Amazon regarding cat carriers. Price point is a little high, but its well built, zippers are solid and secure, stitching is great, big and tall with an expander. I think even if you knocked off like $5, it would be good.

I ordered this to bring home 2 kittens from SC to NC in a few weeks. I wanted them to be together and have room. I am very pleased with this carrier. It was easy to set up. Looking forward to my new fur babies and getting them home safely.

This unique carrier has some features not seen in other carriers. Forget the expandable part for a moment. There is a zippered pocket large enough for phone and wallet, a larger pocket which could hold a book or documents or some other document. There are straps to hand carry or shoulder carry. The shoulder strap is padded for comfort. One full side or the top can be opened to put pets inside. It's possible to clip the side open, leave treats inside and let the cats enter on their own and check it out before actually using it to travel somewhere. Pets can see through the mesh and don't feel trapped. In compact mode, both my cats, 15 and 17 pounds, can fit comfortably. I really like this carrier in its compact mode. When it's expanded I found it difficult to carry. It would need wheels added like carry on luggage to be easier to handle in expansion mode. However, on a long road trip with carrier on the back seat, I would use it in expanded mode to give them more room. My cats have not offered to try chewing through the mesh. I don't know if that would be a problem with a larger dog.This carrier could actually be used for a whole variety of things. It's so roomy, yet so light weight. If the pets are staying at home, let it carry a blanket and a picnic for the people. If you have teen or college age kids, expect to see this carrier used in an unexpected variety of ways.

I really like this carrier, but I think it makes a better kennel than a carrier. It's so big, even when folded, that this would be difficult to travel with on a plane or in a small car. The size also makes it difficult to carry using the handles or the strap, so again, I think this is better if you just need an enclosed play area. Don't get me wrong; I love all the room and the great big size, but it wouldn't be my first choice for air travel. It's got a great clean look, and there's so much room inside that this would easily hold two small cats or dogs, maybe an entire litter of kittens, even. Most of it is mesh material, so it is very airy with good visibility. I like this a lot, but it's not your basic cat carrier; it's more.
