Just when you think that IU's songwriting talents might have peaked with Love Poem, she comes out with a close rival in The Winning. The five songs on this album are just as thought-provoking as the six on Love Poem. She was a bit concerned that she might begin to fade following the Golden Hour concert. The Winning shows that she is still flying high.
