Decent value
I purchased this (not the one shown) projector over a couple of years ago, and it has been ok. I do not have a white one like in the description, but the black model like in other reviews on here. Now I’ve been using this one for over two years and I will describe my gripes and complaints, as well what’s good with this little thing.Pros-First off: it’s small. Small enough to be portable. But not too small as to not have a decent screen size. I’ve actually transported it to multiple locations and it’s worked fine.Second: it’s not terribly too loud. It’s actually pretty quiet. I don’t really hear it as I’m either watching movies/tv or gaming on it.Third: you can game on it. Presently I only put my Switch on it, but I have hooked up my MacBook Pro to it and it was fine.Fourth: most of everything you need is in the box. (This will be part of my gripes later) Remote, power cord, HDMI cable, cleaning kit, and projector.Fifth: multiple hanging or mounting options. To include rear projection.Cons-First: the speaker on this is not that great. Had to hook up computer speakers to hear anything.Second: it’s not as bright as I think it should be. I have to have a completely dark room to see the screen. I don’t know how someone said that it’s too bright.Third: (And this would have been a deal breaker for me if I had known this from the beginning) Does not connect to my iPhone as described. As the seller states in their description and some questions answered, ‘Just use the USB port’ and you’re good to go. Riiiiigghhhht. I’ve never had it hook up to my iPhone. I’ve downloaded an app for it hooked up the USB cord to the USB port and I always received an error. It never has worked. I found out later that you need a SEPARATE dongle to Bluetooth from your phone to the back of the projector ($36 at the time) to get this to work. Needs less to say, I don’t have the dongle. That should have been part of the description.Forth: the foot to angle the projector up off a flat surface is very flimsy. Broke mine by accident just trying to set it up.For the little bit of money I paid for the projector, it’s been good, not great. It’s lasted a while, through a trip from the States to Iraq and back and then another move. I’ve kept the original box which is packed well. So I think that might help.Again, not bad for the price, but I wouldn’t buy again if I knew a few things.
