Good Battery Accessory
For households that have already invested in the very expensive DeWalt 20V battery system, it makes sense to get as much use out of it as possible and this handy air compressor is a very useful addition.Although the volume it pumps is small, and it will top up a car tire eventually, this compact compressor really shines for bike tires, inflatable play balls, and similar smaller volume objects. The ability to set a target pressure and then have the compressor stop when it reaches it is an excellent feature, as it prevents accidentally over filling a small bike tire if you don’t get your finger off the trigger fast enough. Additionally, a selection of inflator accessories is neatly stored on the front of the tool’s case, near the work light. The unit has a few oversights that I would improve. First, the lamp in the front of the housing is plenty bright and works great if you are in low light conditions, but it only illuminates when the unit is running. It’s of no use to see what you’re doing as you try to hook up the chuck adapter or find the proper inflation adapter. It should have a separate switch, so you can use it as a flashlight.Next, this unit comes in a beautiful zippered semi-hard case, but the case isn’t designed big enough to hold the unit with a battery attached to the tool, nor does it have space to fit the battery anywhere inside. So, I can carry the tool nicely protected in the car, but the battery has to be carried separately.Lastly, the instruction sheet is sparse and not very useful. It does not explain the function of the trigger or even mention it at all. This is especially important, as once the tool goes to “sleep” and you want to use it again, pulling the trigger does not make it come on. Nowhere do they tell you that you first must press the (very tiny) “Unit” button to wake the tool, before the trigger becomes active again. So, with better instructions, a place to fit the battery in the case, and maybe designing the trigger so that if you depress it half-way the work light comes on, this hand little compressor would be more user friendly. As is, it does give me another use for my expensive DeWalt batteries and inflates all my typical household devices.

Price is right, works for light-duty/occasional use
This is a very close replica of the Makita inflator. Note the Kuwzty model's screw holes and outer plastic casing size/shape - it is nearly identical to the Makita one. They are about the same weight without batteries, maybe a slight edge to the Makita but it was negligible. I did notice a difference in the vents/openings on the case though. The Makita model has a 2nd set of baffles on the inside to help block dust/water from getting into the sensitive areas (see the 2nd pic for details/comparison).The one huge upgrade the Kuwzty model has as far as user-friendliness goes is that you can turn it on with one button press...you don't have to hold the trigger the whole time! Note the velco strap I keep with the Makita one to use as my trigger-holder whenever I need to add a lot of air...seems like an oversight on Makita's part. The Makita scores points with the master power-button, this turns the unit on/off...I guess just remove the battery with the Kuwzty one when not using it to avoid accidental powering up.The Makita also includes 2 little clamp points to help hold the air-hose...these are nice but to be honest the hose would barely stay clipped if it weren't for my velco strap I store w/the unit. The Makita definitely has a better build quality (and brand reputation/recognition) but if you have Dewalt 20v batteries already, this is a no-brainer!One last note - if you want to fill rafts, pool floats, air mattresses, etc. you do not want this style inflator! These are better for higher PSI, smaller volume situations....like bike tires, car tires, trailer tires, pre-charging expansion tanks for your water heater, well-pump pressure tanks, etc.

Watch the battery life . . .
Love the portability - love that is stands flatOnly drawbacks I've noticed so far . . .A) There is either a phantom battery drain, or, the pumps consumes huge power. Completely drained a 2.0 Amp/hr battery (genuine DeWalt) after a less-than 20 second pump upB) Not an issue so far, but worried about the hose junction with the valve clamp . . . seems like it might fatigue after useC) Pressure gauge not accurate (34 psi closer to 37)

Yet More Uses For Your DeWalt Batteries!!
Whoever's idea it was to start making electronics that run off of DeWalt batteries....I definitely owe them a beer. I have amassed quite the shop of tools over the past two decades and whenever I buy cordless, I always buy DeWalt, so I have many many batteries. When I started seing other types of equipment pop up that are compatible with them, I was thrilled to give them a try. We're talking camping lights, bluetooth stereos, vacuums.....my favorite is the adapter that replaces the battery pack in my kid's PowerWheels. That easy install has it back in action and souped up! He blazes a path of fire zooming down the street...in the safest way possible, of course. This inflator is the latest in the arsenal. Previously for these jobs, I would have to lug out the big heavy compressor on wheels, stub my toe, pull out extension cords, fill up. Over all it was a pain in the butt process. This eliminates all of that like magic. Just click in the battery and go! Does an admirable job of getting bike and car tires back up to scratch and I love it for pool floats! Bringing those into the shop and then having to squeeze them out the door and to the pool was always a chore and makes you grumpy before your swim, which is not ideal. Now I am happy as a clam. Thanks, inflator.
