No complaints, the bearings run smoothly and are accurate to the 683-2RS size I ordered.
The ten bearings arrived double protected in a pair of soft plastic tubes that were placed into a small ESD safe grip seal pouch. Right out of the packet I grabbed my calipers and compared the dimensions across a few of the bearings and they’re all consistent and are exactly the size they should be for a 683 bearing. Next up I placed a few of them on a 3mm stainless steel rod to give them a quick tolerance and spin to test for any grittiness etc and they all slipped onto the rod and felt just fine while rolling. I don’t like my odds of removing the shields on these tiny bearings to take a look inside but they seem perfectly adequate for my needs which are 3D printed designs that require a tiny bearing.For whatever reason HiPicco seems to have removed the 683-2RS option from the product listing so I actually have no clue what the price point was for these. As a result I can’t comment on the value but the product itself is as described and good quality from my testing for a generic bearing available on short notice via prime. Of course, you’ll be paying way more for these with the markup versus getting a similar size from a reputable source directly from China. So as long as the convenience and speed of getting them are worth the extra cost to you, there is nothing wrong with these bearings.
