Jonsered L2821, 21 in. 160cc GCV160 Honda 3-in-1 Walk Behind Front-Wheel-Drive Mower

spent months researching and comparing mowers. we have a dealer where i live that carries Jonsered products, recieved mower 2 days before scheduled delivery date, easy set up just take out of box (two people make this part easier) unfolded handle filled with supplied oil put rear bag cover on frame, comes shipped with mulch plug in and also has a rear shoot to blow grass out if no mulch or rear bag is used. first pull started right up. great easy mower to use self propelled is easy to adjust to fit your speed . Only con i have is the rear bag is not a dust blocker bag but that is not a major down side for me, just have a few areas where that would be nice to have. Love the fact it has a fuel shut off valve. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new self propelled walk behind mower.

I PURCHASED THIS LAWN MOWER ON 3/30 AND IT WAS DELIVERED 4/2. WE TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX AND ASSEMBLED IT BY THE BOOKLET. WE PUT THE OIL AND GASOLINE IN. IT STARTED ON THE FIRST PULL. MOWED ONE ROW AND IT CUT OFF. IT HAS NOT STARTED SINCE THEN. I AM CURRENTLY ON HOLD WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY EXPECT ME TO LOAD IT UP AND TAKE IT TO AN AUTHORIZED SERVICER. I HAVE NO WAY TO DO THAT. HENCE, ORDERING AND HAVING IT DELIVERED. I WOULD UNDERSTAND IF IT WAS USED FOR A WHILE BUT IT IS BRAND NEW! IT IS SPITTING GAS OUT OF THE EXHAUST. I EXPECT THEM TO BRING ME A NEW LAWN MOWER. OVER $400 WITH THE WARRANTY AND IT DOESN'T WORK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ZERO HELP! THEY HAVE MY MONEY SO THEY COULD GIVE 2 SHITS WEATHER IT'S FIXED OR NOT! BEWARE!!!

I suggest not buying a mower on line. This mower will not run, it stalls out within a minute. I have not been able to successfully mow my lawn with it. I purchased it in May and it is now almost August. I have been battling with support and also informed Amazon. I'm now stuck with a mower that won't work and will need to purchase another one. I have taken it to be serviced twice (see below). Jonsered is not responsive at all re inquiring about support and returning the mower. I have reached out to them twice on line via their support, and spent several hours on the phone support line to no avail.UPDATE after 2nd service, (7/19): After having it serviced for the issue described below and paying $79, the mower does the exact same thing. It stops within a minute of trying to mow.DON'T BUY THIS MOWER!!!! When the lawn mower arrived, I assembled it, which only involved extending the handle and adding oil and gas. It started on the first pull. I then proceeded to mow my lawn. It stopped after approximately 45 seconds. It then would not start. I waited a couple of hours, and it started, so I proceeded to continue to mow. It again died at 45 seconds. I had it set on the highest setting. After repeatedly having the above happen, I called the support line. They directed me to an authorized dealer. I took it in and the referred dealer, said they only service the engine not mowers. But they were kind of enough to look at it. They cleaned it underneath and got it to run, but not on green stuff. It ran for about 5 minutes or so. I then attempted to clean underneath it. It seemed clear of any debris. I have had to use a borrowed mower to mow my lawn. So, the bottom line is, every time I use the Jonsered, it stalls after about a minute of running. I keep trying it because I'm hoping for a miracle, and don't feel right about borrowing someone else's to mow. After 2nd repair shop, where they cleaned the carburator, I brought it home and it still stalls out within a minute of running.

I liked the product. Started on first pull.Product was packaged well by the manufacturer to protect it BUT:The manufacturer shipped a bottle of oil in an unsealed plastic bag.It was loose in the box so a hole punched thru the side of the bottle and oil was everywhere.I saw another review almost identical from Harold S. Henry on May 24, 2018 so the Manufacturer did not solve the issue.

Really disappointed. The mower seemed to get good reviews and have had great experiences with Honda in the past I ordered it. It arrived on the day I needed it.Unboxed it put it together added the oil put gas in it, and it wouldn’t run. Got it started for a few seconds and nothing.Started to look it over the carburetor was lose and it wasn’t getting gas. Had it repaired because I needed it today and now seems to run good. I like the mower but am kinda disappointed I had to repair before I could use it.

I have a large yard, and this Jonsered makes mowing much easier than my Craftsman. It is light weight, maneuverable, and easy to control the speed. I did a lot of research before choosing the Jonsered with the Honda engine. I made the right decision.

Easy to use, easy to clean. Sucks up ALL the grass and leaves. The bag holds a lot and it's a Honda engine. One pull start.

I thought it was a sound purchase (because of the Honda motor) after doing my research. I've used it about 10 times and the self propelled aspect has stopped working. I purchased through Amazon so I have no recourse, as it was longer than a month ago. Save yourself a hassle and get one from somewhere that has a better return policy and don't buy this brand. The motor is great, but the rest of it is garbage.
