Fantastic quality and the hogs love it
Our visiting hog ventured in the same night I put it down. Little more expensive than many on the market but the quality is fantastic and it’s well designed, taking into account space and ventilation. Worth the investment, as looks like it will last forever!

Sturdy, well made hoghouse
This is a really solid, well made hedgehog house. It was well packaged too and arrived in perfect condition.I'm so pleased to say that I have a resident now! It should keep my friend dry and cosy. I would definitely recommend this hoghouse, it's a fair price and should last for years.

Well thought-out and built
Sturdy and right-sized. Composite roof, waterproof and impermeable. On a level surface, the slight fall on the roof means that rain drains off rather than puddling. Air gap ventilates the box. Roof secured by convenient stainless hasp and snap shackle. Sides strong pine, floor sterling board, pine bars on the bottom to keep the box off the wet. Water-based wood preservative. I've mounted it on a flat paving slab. I would expect to need to re-proof the exterior every couple of years, and I might put an impermeable barrier in the foot bars. No tenants yet...

Riverside Woodcraft Hedgehog Houses (Large) With Anti Bacteria Coating
i found a hedgehog in my garden during the day which I knew something was wrong with it. A carer took it in and brought it back to health. when she called 6 weeks later to say the hedgehog was back to full health and was ready to be collected I knew I had to act fast and provide a nest for it to hibernate in as winter was coming. I purchased a hedgehog house from Riverside Woodcraft I was very pleased with this product.as it is surperbly well made and waterproof. After kitting it out with hay for a nest for her and sorting a feeding station nearby she has settled in quite nicely. She hasn't gone into hibernation just yet but now I know she has somewhere warm and dry for the winter. Who knows I might see some hoglets there with her next year.

Very sturdy and an attractive feature in the garden
Our little hedgehog used the house straight away and has been coming every night since. I’m sure he feels safer eating inside than outside. In the past we have fed him outside with a board propped up against the shed to keep out the rain which he used, recently the magpies have been coming to finish anything he hadn’t eaten so it’s been difficult knowing how much the hedgehog had eaten or even if he had been during the night. I love the fact that to top can be secured so no animal could lift the top to get inside and it looks very attractive in the garden.

Well received gift
Bought as a Xmas present for my sisters who regularly have hoggy visitors. They loved it (my sisters… not the hogs, they are probably still in hibernation)!

Good Quality & Worth The Money
I bought the large model so that it can accommodate the four hedgehogs that visit my garden. It is well made & sturdy. The wood is 2cm thick & waterproof. I cut out some thermal foil to insulate the floor, then a layer of newspaper to keep it clean & then some straw for bedding. The only minor niggle is that you have to hold the lid up to clean inside as the hinges will not bend back further than 90 degrees, otherwise it falls back down. Another improvement would be to add two inch high legs in each corner just to keep the floor off the ground to prevent damp & rot. Other than that its a good quality hedgehog house which a hedgehog slept in on the second night.
