Sharp and Handy
I bought this to replace a hand held triangular shaped hoe made by a company called Lady Gardener. I can't find those tools anymore, so I am trying different styles. This tool is not the same, but once our ground got some water, it worked really well. I struggled with it on hard soil, but I don't think anything else would have worked too well either.Anyway, the angle of the tool took some getting used to, but all in all, I really like it. It's sharp enough to cut weeds off, and substantial enough to dig them out if that is what you want to do. After just one real session in the garden, I found that I liked this tool a lot. I tied a pink ribbon on it so that I can find it when I inadvertently misplace it. And that already saved it from being lost in the burn pile. And wouldn't you know it-as soon as this arrived, I found my missing Lady Gardener tool!Update 11/19After having this tool for a year, I can tell you that I love it! It is my go to gardening tool, and I rarely use anything elsewhere when I weed. It has been a great tool, and I haven't lost it.Buy this!

Tough and effective
Good for deep weeds, and moving good size amounts of earth with one hand. It is quite sturdy. The only issue I have with it is that the handle is untreated bare wood, (and not hardwood.) I treated mine with mineral oil before the first use. However, I still think it is a great tool, and very easy to work with and ergonomic.

Very sturdy.
Perfect for small garden or raised beds. This tool does everything. It great for digging, weeding, and making furrows.

Cheap Handle
The metal work and the digging end of this tool is solid and sturdy. Definitely gets the job done.My only complaint is that the handle is made out of what seems to be a very cheap wood. It has splintered and cracked upon the first couple uses. The handle is also unfinished and a soft wood. If this company were to adjust the handle, then they would have a solid and well made hand tool for gardening.

Not good quality
Metal was very flaky??? Not sure why. My Dad got one at a Korean Market and the metal is very smooth (and sharp). This one is sharp but his is sharper.
