Undying Love: Love Duet #1

I reviewed this for a blog and I feel the need to prepare you as a reader, this book will make you cry. I don't mean an occasional tear here or there, I mean a full out UGLY. CRY... WHYYYYY WHYYYYYY??? NoOOoOoOoO!!!Maybe not even like that, but more like this. whhhhaaaatttt?? whhyyyy ddddiiiddd thhat happpeeeennnn?? it's not fair!Either way, I was bad. Let me rewind because we don't start there. We start with Ryan, who is just entering the single life... thank goodness... When he meets Allee, our little spitfire, writing an article for his magazine. She's ballsy, holds nothing back. I loved it. And I think he needed it. How can she not be enamored by him? How can he want her? It's a relationship written in the stars... or a marathon map. And when he finally convinces her to start dating him and they fall in love, it's the forever kind of love. It's sweet, their dating, their relationship is so cute. You get swept up in this lovely story of their courtship. I did. I loved it when they got married, even knowing her past, her secrets. You love her. He loves her. And it's going to be forever right? They're going to be the old couple you see holding hands walking down the road. You want that for them. I want that for them.And when they...*ahem* you know.. ITS HOT! And they do it EVERYWHERE! It's hot...oh I said that already..moving on... Even on our trip to Paris. Our fateful trip to Paris. The city of love. I mean who wouldn't! Paris is the one place Allee always wanted to travel to, and he is giving it to her. A gift, the best gift he could ever give her. He has now made all her dreams come true. Is there any way she can do that for him?? Cue the tears...I'm not going to tell you what happens. I will tell you it was a beautiful story. One that I loved HARD, swooned for HARD, and cried for HARD. I will also say it doesn't end here.

OMG what a beautiful yet tragic and heartbreaking love story which was told completely in Ryan Madewell’s POV. Undying Love is the story of Ryan and Allee. Allee is 24 yrs old and she is totally nuts about art. When Ryan lays eyes on Allee while at the Met, he feels this instant connection and knows there is something really special about her and finds he is drawn to her. She's the opposite of everything he is. Yet Allee is more of a mystery. Ryan we know more about-his life, childhood, job , fears and wants while Allee not so much. What we do know is Ryan falls for her and soon they are dating. As their story progresses, we learn some secrets of Allee’s and Ryan does struggle with what he finds out but his love for Allee keeps him around and present but it was hard at times for Ryan will do anything for Allee. There is a huge twist that happens in this story and all I can say is keep your box of tissues handy. As I type my review up, I am sitting here crying. I don’t know how Nelle L'Amour wrote this book but OMG…im just done for. I know there is going to be a book two that will continue this story in someway which is good because it ended on a cliffhanger of sort. I just have to say this story will stay with you for awhile after it has been read. Ryan Maxwell has lived a privileged life and his life has been mapped out by his family where he will assume control of his father’s media business even if his real dream is to become a writer.Allee’s parents passed away when she was a child and she was raised in foster care. She has never had anyone else to lean and that has made her independent and self-sufficient.They meet when Allee shows him a painting at the museum where she works and the chemistry between then was instant and intense. Although she is not looking for anything serious Ryan sneaks into her heart but she knows that their relationship has an expiry date because of the secrets she holds. They are able to work through her past and ready to face their future together but sometimes fate has other plans.Ryan is the man that any woman would want as he forgave her past and when they received devastating news it wasn’t a time to wallow it was a time to live and that is something everyone can learn from. You know that you have a good story when it makes you feel and man does this book make you feel.

This story seemed oh-so-familiar, as if I'd read it before... oh yeah! I DID read it before, only the earlier version was by Erich Segal, and it was simply called "Love Story." His book was sappy, melodramatic, and a tad on the corny side, but everybody I knew read it. We all bawled at its inevitable ending, and bawled again when the movie version came out. Although we didn't necessarily agree with its oft-quoted line about love meaning never having to say you're sorry, everybody was familiar with it.Okay, so this ISN'T the same book. It may be sappy, melodramatic, and a tad on the corny side, but this version is... how shall I say this?... H-O-T. Um, yeah, "erotic," the author calls it. Yep, it is. There are lots of steamy scenes, and the language isn't nearly as sweet as in the earlier version; it leans more toward the raunchy side at times. But their love story is just as sweet, and inevitably, the ending will rip your heart out, just like Segal's ending did. Only THIS time... "Love means never having to say good-bye."Okeydoke. So this is essentially a rewrite of Segal's book. The writing is fine, but the book could have benefited from some additional editing. If the earlier, more innocent version bored you, this could be the book for you.Three and a half stars, rounded up to four.

I thought I had written my review for this book but realised I jumped into another by wanting to follow on.This story was so eonderful but so rarth shattering.The love story of Ryan and Allee grabs your heart. They are so right for each other and their love is almost indestructible. Aĺlee is an amazing character and she sees Ryan as the man for her. She gives him encouragement to reach for his goals and to be the writer he wants to be. He loves her for so many reasons - mostly her love for him and her belief in him. He is also hot and sexy and they are so right for each other.This beautiful couple have so much to give each other but life is cruel and they have to deal with tragedy. Allee deals with it better than Ryan but she takes him through with her love and positive attitude you will just melt with love for her.Undeniably the most moving book I have read in many a day.

Beautiful story. This book was so so good. This book will make you cry and It will also make you laugh.I enjoyed it all the way to the end.

Amazing book that brought forth strong emotions out of me! Experienced love, hurt, and loss...absolutely amazing! You will definitely cry!

What great characters and an amazing story line the feelings that made this so special we're great tears but they were realalistic!
