I don't even know where to start.Maybe with the impressive array of sensors I saw it had when I first enabled the app and connected to it. Weight of the cat, time spent inside, temperature, humidity, litter full, event log, etc. Sounds pretty good, right? Wrong. They don't do anything smart with this stuff.Starting with this: all that tech, and zero notification to the phone/app when the litter box is full. It's in the event log if I go open the app, page to the screen, read the events... but no notification. Why is this so important? Well, if you don't catch it when it is full, it doesn't just stop and wait for you... nope. It rolls it's massive plastic drum right through that fresh, stinking heap, smearing it all over the sides and internals of the machine that you can't even see w/o disassembly. Then it accumulates piles of excrement on its frame for you to discover later. Fun, huh? We're just getting started.By the time you discover crappocalypse has occurred and go to frantically clean it up, it will spontaneously decide to do a full sand dump on you... with the reservoir removed from the unit! Yes- with all those fancy sensors that tell you all the useless stuff, this gem will wait for you to remove the dump box and then proceed to dump whatever is left right on your floor, with no cancel/stop button to avert it. (unplug is your only choice) No one would expect it to do that, which is why it caught us once.How about its tiny capacity reservoir? There is no reason this should be so restricted.Support provides absolutely no response to me across two attempts.Now, this unit has completely stopped functioning for me altogether, and I have no support, and no return options. Not what I expected for a $350 sand turner. Amazon help me please.

The media could not be loaded. My cats love it. They get used to the new environment quickly. In the beginning, they are so curious about this giant machine and they want to get in when it rotates. But this product has a detector for such a situation and stops immediately. It can prevent my cats from falling into the trash bag.Most of the time, I didn't even notice that they had used the smart litter box. The sound it makes is super small. And the odor control is perfect. There was no smell in my living room, but after I pulled out the trash drawer, the smell was unbearable.Now, I only need to trash the bag once a week, which only takes me a few seconds. Previously, I needed to scoop 10 mins every day. It's so convenient that I no longer need to pay attention to the litter box. The app will notify me to clean the trash bag if it is full.

I had high hopes for this litter box. Unfortunately, right out of the box, it has never worked. I’ve followed all instructions (which are horrible) and several trouble shooting attempts to try and get this to work, all to no avail. It will spin if I manually start it, but it doesn’t clear all the waste most of the time. The app has continued to report that the waste bin is full even when it’s not. The only info that seems to work is the temperature reading and the humidity level. Even though my cats have used the litter box, it doesn’t register that it’s been used. I’m afraid that because the sensors are so horrible, that it may sporadically start a cycle when one of my cats is inside and hurt them. I feel like this box has been so much more work than a regular litter box. When I opened it up for cleaning, I found a pile of dirty litter piled up inside that smelled horrible. This is unsanitary and unhealthy for my family and my cats. I will be returning this litter box.

This has not self-cleaned when our cat gets in and out since day one. The app control works well enough, and the cleaning function works when manually activated. Can't say I'd recommend, since the automatic cleaning and pet waste monitoring were big selling points and they don't work.

So I like it more than I don't.The original one I ordered didn't work but my replacement is working just fine.Pros:The obvious... no scooping.Automatic cleaning or clearing of the waste.The setup and connection were very easy.Cons:It DOES NOT CONCEAL ANY SMELLS and my cat can clear the room when he goes. I make sure I change the bag every couple of days because the smell can become unbearable. I don't know what kind of ion technology it's supposed to have but nope, it smells.It's making an awful squeaky sound now when it cleans.Not sure why but it's annoying.Litter clumps can get trapped on the inside crevices and sit there until removed. Just something to keep in mind.Would I recommend... sure to someone that hates scooping as much as I do but keep in mind it's not a flawless design.
