WF-9865-AD-CB Converter/Charger, 65 Amp Power Converter,Deck-Mounted Converter Charger for RV Camper WF-9800 Series

I know that the instructions say that the converter should be installed by a professional so I won't contradict those instructions. I chose to do the installation myself. I read through the instructions and all of the details prior to starting the installation on my 5th wheel. Start to finish, it took about 15 minutes (once I had all of the right tools). I immediately noticed a difference in the speed of the vent fans, the slide motors and brightness of the lights. The two installed 12v batteries charged within 24 hours. I was amazed at what a huge difference this unit made.

The product advertised isn't the one I received, and there is no certifications on the product as shown in the picture advertised on Amazon. The brand name isn't even on the installation booklet that comes in the box or the product. The 3 prongs on the power cord look to be of cheap material. The two fuses installed on the product look like they are bent as you can see in the picture. The last thing wrong with this product is, I took a wiff through the vents and it seems as if it has been used before and got to hot. I will be returning this product for hopefully a full refund.

This converter is exactly the same as the OEM and works as it should.

This is an updated replacement power converter for our Fleetwood motorhome. All battery connections and power cable are configured the same as the original unit. Mounting holes are different, however. But no big deal. Unit runs silently. Very pleased.

This little guy was a great replacement. Everything appeaed to be configured rhe same way as the converter I replaced, and installation was straight forward..It works well for 12v appliances without over heating or making a racket, and that is all I needed.

Disliked products reliability. Replaced the same product five years ago. avShould have lasted many more years as only used 120 days a year on average.

This is a good unit, especially as batteries get old, they need a little care to maintain and help them last as long as possible. While it's impossible to say, I do trust devices like this can extend the working life of batteries, and let you use it without worry. This one seems like a sturdy, good addition. It was easy to install as it fit right on the existing unit, and has been working smoothly. It's pricey, but worth the cost. The amp is high, so this works fast. And it's cheap considering the high amperage it offers. It's made the RV easier to use.

The converter does put out the rated voltage but I do not have a way of testing the amperage rating. My negative impression comes from the apparently 3D printed terminal shrouds. These are obviously meant to protect from accidentally shorting the + and - together but the first time I even touched the + terminal the shroud broke off with very little effort. This brings into question the quality control of other components.
