As you get older getting boots off can be difficult. This little item makes it very easy to get boots off. For me it's more of a winter item, so I've only used it once and it worked like a charm.The folding hinge makes it easier to store in my closet when not in use. I didn't have problems with using it although the hinge is a little weird. I usually don't bring boots on trips because of packing space so I wouldn't be traveling with this either.One thing I may do is put some padding around the U shape where your boot heel goes so it protects the boot a little more. It all depends on if you are using on dress boots or on work boots. But at this price, I can't complain.

A very basic boot remover with a hinged riser stand. It looks nice and is light, but it is unfinished wood so I don't think it is going to hold up to weather and muddy boots. I mainly got it so that I don't have to touch my mucky boots with my hands to get them off before going in the house. The hinged joint is nice in concept but why would you need to transport this anywhere? Does this really need to go on vacation with you? At most, it might go from the garage to the back door. Additionally, the hinge may cause the stand to collapse while you are trying to get your boot off and cause more trouble than it is worth. I haven't had that issue yet, but can see how it could easily happen.

Seriously, there have been days I thought I'd have to call a neighbor to help me get my boots off! They fit great when they're on my feet, but getting the heel in and out of that tight spot is rough. They came off so easily with this new boot jack.The hinge did seem to be backwards when I was sitting down trying to make it work, trying to brace with jack with one foot and pull the boot in the U back toward me. The jack collapsed.But when I put it on the carpet in front of the bathroom sink, I could lean forward and hold onto the counter top, put the weight of my back foot on the jack with the ball of my foot planted on the boot design, the thing stayed steady and the boot in the U came off easily when I lifted UP instead of back.I lifted my foot slowly, my heel came out of that tight spot on the first try and that was all the help I needed! Having the countertop as a balance worked great!The bottom edge of the underside of U is a little sharp and I don't want to scuff up the black leather of the back of my boots. Will probably look for a little piece of suede or something to protect the boot till someone can run it through a router maybe. But taking my time, things were fine in one long, slow pull. Worked just the same for the other foot.Thank you for this! It will fit in my suitcase when I go to Houston! Woohoo!

I was searching for a boot jack but had no idea what to call it. I searched and searched until I found this beauty! It serves its intended purpose perfectly! Bonus: It folds, so if you were so inclined, you could take it with you wherever your boots lead you! Makes sliding out of my boots after some boot scooting a snap!

This XYH boot jack is functional and compact. The boot jack does an excellent job pulling off my boots without having to bend over and fight with my boots. Saves my back and saves me the frustration. I easily use this standing up to pull my boots off. The boot jack is light weight, and has a hinge on to kick board that allows it to be stored away easily. Great feature if for travel as well. Great value at about $16. My only complaint is that it does not have any protective fabric to help protect boots when taking them off. May not be as important for work boots. Overall great quality product at a great price.

Nice quality boot jack. Quality item, even has a hinge on the bottom side support so has a lower profile when stored or for travel.I've been wanting one of these, finally made the move! I'm getting older and while sitting to pulling my leg across my other leg so I can pull my boot off is not as easy as it used to be since my knees are older. This makes getting my favorite pair of boots off very easy. Fast shipping.

I've needed a boot jack for a while and this one works. I would have preferred a bit more angle, but it works wells enough. The one thing that I had a bit of challenge with is the hinge bottom support, I had it collapse a few times. This is supposed to make it easy to store and pack, but it doesn't make a huge difference in the overall size. The hinge is very loose, if the hinge took a little effort to fold, it would be much better. Overall it works, but seems a bit flimsy so I'm not sure it will last. The price is great.
