Great puzzle toy!!
Some folks have talked about it sliding. We used the provided sticky pads, and it's on a hardwood floor, so it doesn't move. We keep it in the same spot for now, and just wipe it down. Our puppy doesn't drool much, so there isn't as much mess as a dog who drools a lot.We have a maltipoo, and initially he was scared of the lids on the outer boxes. So he didn't want to open them - so if you have a timid dog, maybe don't use the outer boxes at first. However, after about a week or so, he was brave enough to open them and now he could care less about the noise. The top part - only complaint - the slide lids can be difficult to open for smaller dogs (as they tend to stick). But now that just adds to the challenge, so it's not really a big deal.I was very surprised (and no this isn't a my dog is brilliant review) at how fast he figured out the slide the pieces to the hole, get the food. Straightaway he figured that out.We have 3 puzzle toys, and his big treat is to be allowed to get treats from all 3. We don't put a lot of food in (some people say this is one way to slow a dog down from eating too fast), but our dog eats wet food, so this is more of a treat, usually somewhere in the day or a bit of time after a meal, just for fun. Like one or two small kibbles per hole. It's just as fun for him as if it was loaded up (we are also watching the amounts that he eats, again he is very small, less than 5 pounds).Overall, he loves this and despite being small, holding him back while putting food in, can be a challenge as the omen gets into him and he always does this one first, so far it is his favorite out of the 3. Great product, and while I am not sure this made him smarter (as he is a puppy so ... yeah ...) it was really fun to see him figure it out and overcome his fear of it making noises he wasn't used to.

Perfect Puzzle Toy for My Smart Shepherd Husky Mix
I recently bought the KADTC Dog Chess Puzzle Toy for my Shepherd Husky mix, and it's been a fantastic investment! From the moment I introduced it to her, she was intrigued by the challenge it presented. This puzzle toy is well thought out, combining three levels of difficulty to tailor the experience based on your dog’s cognitive abilities. My dog, who has a knack for problem-solving, figured out the Level 1 challenge pretty quickly. Now, she loves playing with it regularly and solves it in no time! The toy has a unique combination of sliding, food dispensing, and flipping covers, which keeps things interesting for her. The different mechanisms (sliding compartments, movable boxes, and flip-lid sections) really make her think before she gets her treat, and it’s clear that it stimulates her mentally. Plus, she loves the reward of treats after each success, which makes it even more engaging for her. What I Love:Adjustable Difficulty: The three levels of difficulty are perfect for a dog like mine. She started with the easiest level, and as she progressed, I bumped it up to the next level to keep her mentally challenged. It’s rewarding to see how she’s learned and adapted.Safe and Durable: The materials are food-grade ABS, BPA-free, and phthalate-free, so I can feel good about her playing with it. Plus, it’s really well-made — all the components stay securely in place, so there’s no worry of her chewing off small parts.Easy to Clean: Cleaning the puzzle is a breeze! It’s dishwasher-safe and has a drainage design that makes it easy to dry after cleaning.Mental Stimulation & Anxiety Relief: I’ve noticed that this toy not only engages her mind but also helps with her anxiety. She’s calmer and seems to enjoy having this mental exercise daily.Slow Feeder: It's a great way to slow down her eating, which has improved her digestion. Plus, the non-slip pads keep the toy steady while she plays.Things to Keep in Mind:While it says it's suitable for all dog sizes, I feel it’s best for small to medium dogs. My dog is medium-sized, and she seems to handle it just fine, but for larger breeds, the toy might feel a bit small. The first time I used it, I had to guide her a little, but after that, she got the hang of it quickly.Overall, I’m extremely happy with the KADTC Dog Chess Puzzle Toy. It’s engaging, safe, and has definitely helped keep my dog mentally sharp. If you have a smart pup who loves to work for their treats, this toy is an excellent choice! Highly recommended!Pros:Adjustable difficulty levels for customized challengeSafe, durable materialsGreat for mental stimulation and reducing anxietyEasy to clean and maintainEncourages slow feeding for better digestionCons:maybe the priceThis toy has become an essential part of my dog's daily routine, and I can see it continuing to be a favorite for months to come!
