FluteGels Finger Supports for Flute (Flute Gels)

I’ve had these before and it’s the only thing I’ve found to cushion my left index finger knuckle base and help me hold the flute. However, the adhesive is not holding well, and the gel is sliding towards a key hole. Not sure what to do about that.

I really like these gels, they’re very comfortable. They move a bit under the warmth of my hand, but not too badly. I think they are good, but overpriced, that’s why 4 stars instead of 5.

Started to peel off after a little while and the gel breaks instead of staying in one piece.For the price, I'd say this product would have been okay if it was a multi pack given the lack of durability, as it does make a difference in terms of comfort and grip; 15 bucks for 2 small (and breakable) pieces of gel adhesive stickers hasn't been worth it for me.For 25 dollars you can get the 'fingerport' or 'thumbport' and those are hard plastic products that last for the lifetime of your flute.

While they stuck on very nicely, the feeling of not being able to slide my left hand around to attain the perfect position was quite awkward.

It helps me place my right thumb and left index finger in the proper place and releases tension in both areas.

They are comfortable.

I fat meaty fingers, and as a result the curvature of the flute posed a problem for my right hand, since I needed to apply pressure away from my body, and my thumb kept slipping. This gel provides a clear, flexible pad on which my thumb can apply force and count on not to slip. It's done wonders for my right hand, and for the stability of the flute as I play.

Personally I would stick with the plastic finger saddles. Sometimes those move, but not as much as these stickers, plus the stickers can leave residue. Also, the pad is not thick enough for my index finger to feel very much pressure relief from the rounded metal of the flute. These may help in a pinch, but I'd invest in the saddle.
