AQA Poetry Anthology - Power and Conflict: York Notes for GCSE (9-1) ebook edition: Second edition

This is a lovely book for both students and teachers. I got 9 A’s at GCSE 30 years ago using York notes and they are just as good as I remember them. I am now an English teacher and use this to prepare for each lesson with my top set Year 10 class. My only frustration is that themes are covered separately to each poem, so I have to search through the themes to find further notes on the poem I’m studying.

With the change in GCSE grading system and success criteria, this guide is perfect for teachers to use as a resource to plan lessons or even to offer them to students as a structured revision guide.Great tasks included with colour coding for ease of use as well as context and explanations of each poem.An essential resource at a highly competitive price.

It's good - much better than the previous version as this has annotated poems. As a current GCSE English teacher, though, I think the CGP study guide is more helpful for both teachers and students.

Useful for most of my students who work really well with the clear presentation and clever use of illustrations to enhance the learning process.

Trying to help my children during lockdown, this was a fantastic book, giving lots of insights. Also a great revision aid.
