I purchased these grabber tools to send in a care package for my mom after her recent knee replacement surgery. She is an elementary school teacher and had to go back to work a little sooner than her surgeon would have liked her to, due to end of the year testing. She’s been using the grabber tools to get things off of higher shelves so she doesn’t have to risk an accident on a step ladder and she says they work great! The magnet isn’t the strongest, but it will pick up small things such as a key, paperclip, metal pen, etc. The grabbers are lightweight and sturdy enough to grab a large glass off of a top shelf. If you have weak wrists or arthritis, it requires two hands, but the grippers don’t slip and the triggers are easy to use. Over all, a great purchase and I’d say they were worth the money, especially knowing they have helped my mom out so much.

I bought these for use after surgery and months later I am still using them! I do jigsaw puzzles and when I drop a piece I use the grabber to pick it up rather than bending over.

The connectors where they fold are great. For the price, these are a good deal. The shorter reacher is more sturdy. You would want to test the item you want to pick up with the longer reacher by just picking it straight up an inch or 2 & holding it there for a second or 2 to see how the reacher seems to handle the weight of the item before moving it towards you. Just try to be careful & smart when using the longer one so you don't pull a heavier item from a higher shelf towards you without testing the weight first. The shoe horn is a little narrow & could be a little stronger for the length but just take your time & it's usable.

Perhaps a little expensive compared to others, however; it works well.
