This does the job of a dashcam perfectly well. Night shots are clear due to the big aperture size. Nothing fancy, no fuss installation. Captures crystal clear audio as well. Obviously without tech like Starvis reading number plate at night with direct light reflection is a challenge, but quality of video is really good.I have never ever faced any connectivity issue. Starts working as soon as i enter my car, stops as soon as i lock it and leave. Headache free easy stuff that one can expect from a dashcam.No gps though. Keep that in mind.Wire length enough for Kushaq, plenty of extra is there too. But wont work for rear windscreen.

Reliable. Acceptable video quality. Reading the number plates can get a bit tricky after sundown, especially when the vehicles in front are at some distance. Otherwise, it does just fine. Compatible with the 128Gb Sandisk card I used.Edit (30/05/2024): got a second one today for ₹5175 after card discount. To use as a rear camera. Thanks to the experience of installing the first one, it hardly took 15 minutes to route the cable beneath the rubber beading on the doors. Connecting to the wi-fi and setting it up, again, was in a jiffy. Both cameras working perfectly. The one thing that separates it from the rear camera that it replaced (AllExtreme - cheap Chinese junk) is that I do not have to connect to its wi-fi to sync the time every time I start the engine. This used to be a real pain with the other camera.

This is the most impractical dash cam. You need to connect your phone to this camera to begin recording, this totally defeats the purpose. I don't see any information li-ion or super capacitor mentioned for time storage.The app don't allow you to share the video evidence on the spot to opposite-part or to police, you need to insert it on a PC and share.

It's compact and easy to use and install. It give decent video output too

Expected hardware quality from Philips. Workable video output at day and night for the price point. Clean and uncluttered design without distracting elements. Wide field of view that will cover all events at the time of recording.The only drawback is a china-made third party app (the product too is made in China, so I guess that’s that) that hasn’t been updated for the latest iOS and keeps shutting down. Not sure if this will be fixed with a future update. If not, the product is rendered useless.

Worth every penny, those who compare Phillips brand with Chinese products offering more features should also compare reliability , device lifetime. This is my second purchase for dash cam, first one from Chinese maker burnt screen automatically due to excessive heat during normal day operation within a week. Phillips and known brands know that memory write is heat extensive operation and the way they dealt with it is amazing

I was looking for a dashcam for a while and when I saw this one I was in 2 minds as I had not seen a dashcam of philips. Philips is a brand that we all love. I bought and installed it myself in my car. The dashcam is working absolutely amazing. I would also complement the interface with the app which records the videos. The clarity of the camera and recording is amazing
