Q: Do you have to keep these lubricanted with oil or something

I have not yet found it necessary to use a lubricant on the exerciser.

Q: Can this be used for cardio?

I don’t use mine for cardio. I had shoulder surgery and I use it to keep the range of motion for my shoulder what it should be so that the shoulder doesn’t stiffen up. I really don’t think it would be great for cardio unless you could really anchor the base. Also, I never use the feet pedals and the arm bars at the same time. Someone else may have had a different experience.
