VERY THIN. But I did expect that so not a huge surprise.
This is very thin fabric however it's typical of a lot of this being sold these days. If you want thick upholstery real upholstery rated fabric shop in person at a fabric store that carries it. I'm serious about that. Meantime I did expect what it is but hoped maybe a little thicker. So I had much thicker fabric for a upholstery job that needs at least 7 yards but in beige family and for years kept that chair in the beige though once solid deep brown. Went back to beige. The foam suddenly and quickly after 10 years given up and after a week long guest who favored the chair left who was 6'2" and not super heavy but well over 200 it just wasn't recovering. So time to re-upholster again and buy new foam. I wanted to make it thicker and use heavy duty firm foam this time then wrap it with memory foam and poly batting to smooth and soften it's lines out. So finally got the foam after ordering 4 times on Amazon and being cancelled. There was a covid issue with chemicals that make foam last summer. I also have a supre sized ottoman I made with two layers of 9" foam. I am allergic to latex and thought it has latex so covered the ottoman in nylon heat sealing pack cloth which cats love to lounge on. But oh yeah ugly. So why not cover the chair and the ottoman at the same time. And yes enough of the beige but suddenly had a want more than a need to switch to grays but a light to medium gray. This kept coming up in my search as did some heavier but three times the expense and poor reviews fabric so yes I googled too. Went to one of my favorite on line fabric sources but they had nothing in a velvet upholstery weight either. In the end I went ahead. This will do. The plan is to make a cover in this and at the same time a cover in the beige too. My reasoning is I won't have to make another cover ever again and can switch out to beige if or stay grey/gray at a whim. Why not. Any left over no problem it's easy to sew and would work for pillows or even small bags like draw string bags for small item storage and protection. Just keep in mind if you are use to sewing with true upholstery weight velvet or micro velvet or microsuede type fabrics this is much much thinner but still likely strong enough. I think it would hold up as a light weight no sew dining chair covers if you don't have elephant butt's or rhino hided family members to push their limits. I've never had that problem in our home of 50 years including guests and we are not careful with our furniture. It is great to spot clean by the way I checked that out. Since I am switching my outdoor day beds on my covered patio to grey fabrics and prints I will probably use left overs to make some lumbar or arm rest pillows that work with the new designs and colors. And grey as a base color is wonderful as you can add accent colors in about any shade in the universe. Golds, or pure yellows, Reds from oranges to sold red even maroons and wines, Blues of every hue too. And then there are greens which many think not but moss greens even kiwi or lime greens with grey is interesting. And you can always go to shades of blacks to whites to be a little ore edgy. A good medium grey/gray. Not charcoal not too light. Would actually buy more if I find I want to do a larger need project as I am also upholsterying a pair of inside glider chairs in medium gray canvas and I can see how lumbar or hang down neck pillow and maybe a loose but tied on cushion on the ottoman glider would be great touch for these chairs and add a little comfort and charm. I suspect I'll have enough fabric left over though.

Beautiful well made fabric!
Love this fabric. It is a microsuede that doesn't pill which is great for making pillows. It is soft and has a good weight to it. The color is true dark navy which worked perfectly for what I was using it for. The fabric has a very luxurious feel to it which is very comparable to high end materials you see in custom upholstery stores. It's extremely affordable and I will be buying more of this fabric different colors.

Surface quality is good but drops fibers
Good quality product but watch out for tiny fiber specks falling off it onto your work surface. Also when you cut it you would need to seal the edges to prevent frazzling.

Beautiful!!!
I was trying to find a mattress cover that would cover a trifold mattress. Could not find anything so I made one myself. The fabric is beautiful and I have washed it and it held up very well. I washed it on gentle cycle and air dried. Highly recommend this material!!

Just right for my DIY project!
I used this fabric to reapolster my dining room chairs. The fabric was easy to work with. It has just the right amount of stretch. The fabric has stood up well to spot cleaning.
