Bought this just to see what it was like and if all failed I would have sent it back. Arrived quickly and within minutes of taking delivery it was installed and up and running.Out the box if you know anything about head units and wires this will be a simple, fast install fore sure. If your unsure even spend an hour or so looking at installs on youtube and its easy. To be honest unless you have two claw hammers for hands and mash your dash to bits you cannot go wrong.Fires up and works right away, i had to change some settings for a UK, Right hand drive car and connect Bluetooth etc. Apple car play works with no issues, you can jump back to the original display for all your setting etc, no loss of menu or setting at all.Seen looks superb, I ran the USB's to my glove box just encase I ever wanted to use them.Genuinely wish I had changed this years ago.

It is not possible to use the original car features at the same time as car play.For example, using the original cars radio, but using Google maps on car play, means no audio for Google maps comes through. It’s like they are 2 x separate audio channels and unless you’re using an audio interface through car play, for example Spotify, you won’t hear audio from car play. It’s not possible to use original car audio features and apple car play audio features at the same time.
