Such a beautiful book full of inspiring photos of the culture of Indigo around the world. A treasure to keep.

This is the best. It is worth it to see the photography alone. It is a great artist inspiration book. I bought the other indigo book touted by some in these reviews and was very disappointed in it. I liked the In depth look at the different regions and how the process and look of the finished work changed by region. Liked it so much that I bought a second copy for a friend.

Indigo is a coffee table book filled with exquisite photos as well as in depth history of indigo paint, textiles, art and more. I am beyond pleased. With this gorgeous book.

I love a good coffee table book. As a textile artist I am always interested in books about textiles. This book is filled with gorgeous photos which are very good ant invoking the creative process. Just enough writing and history to keep it interesting. I highly recommend if you are interested in textiles.

An exceptional book, beautifully written and researched. A significant contribution to our understanding of the history of colour, art, and culture. Awesome! And easy to read while not being buried in the academic density which is too often evident in art history books.

The illustrations and page after page of rich photographs make this book a visual dinner.Also, I read the reviews that lambasted this book to be a rip -off from the book, Indigo, from Egyptian Mummies to Jeans- so I read that book as well to compare the two. They are distinctly different books, approaching the subject in two varying ways. Not to be compared. Both books should be read and enjoyed for what each brings to the subject of Indigo.

This is one of my all time favorite books. I cannot recommend it enough. I have read and studied widely about Indigo work throughout Africa and was so pleased with the beautiful pictures and text about Indigo from around the world. Give yourself a gift and buy this book.

What a great resource on the subject. Lots of good photos. The text is well written and very informational. The quality of the paper is not as great.

Ich habe mich sehr auf dieses Buch gefreut, und bin nicht enttäuscht worden, es ist wunderbar. Schade das es nicht in Deutsch erhältlich ist, das würde es für mich leichter machen. Ich sehe es mir oft an und freue mich über die Pracht der Muster und die Vielfalt.
