Form + Function & Ascetically appealing!
Full disclosure: I use this mat on top of a tight weave Moroccan runner in my long skinny kitchen in front of the sink. Tried 4 different anti fatigue mats, hard to find right size and/or felt very unstable. Not very pretty either, looked industrial. This one is perfect! Prefect Density, doesn't move, nice chevron pattern, good dark grey that doesn't take away from grey & Blue runner. Looks easy to vacuum, clean and dry quickly.Glad I went through the work to finally findThank you, reviewers!

When they say flat, they mean it; Pattern looks better in person than in photos;
__I ordered this as a kitchen rug in front of the sink. It has a herringbone pattern of mid-grey and a more sliver grey. It is more attractive than I thought it would be--the pattern looks better in person than in the web page photos, a pleasant surprise.__When they say flat, they mean it: This is flat woven and not woven from thick fibers, hence the flatness. There was a slight curl from being wound for shipment, but I just bent it in the reverse direction and it flattened out quickly. There was no strong smell to this either.__I like that this is machine washable (in a kitchen application like mine, that's important). Because of the black "rubber" backing, I would not put it in a dryer.__The proportions of this are fine for a kitchen, but it is a bit too narrow for a doorway (at least the length I selected). However, a wider one was available.__The edging of this is simply what feels like a perfectly matched grey velour fabric binding--so a binding wraps over the edge on both top and bottom. This means the edges are slightly thicker than the center area--I'd say the edge area only, is barely 1/4" wide. Obviously the large center area is not as thick.__For my application (a kitchen) the wash-ability, non-slip and thin nature of this rug are just what I had hoped, and the weave looked much nicer in person, so that's an extra plus! Pattern looks better in person than in photos;

Durable, looks nice, comfy on feet
Its a very good door mat. Its well-constructed, durable, and well-made. I like the gray color and pattern; its not too flashy, but nice that it could be used in many places with different decor around your house.The description states that it could be used for entryway, however I am using in my kitchen. Its the mat right in front of my sink. I wasn't sure it would look good there, as I thought it might be better as an indoor/outdoor mat. And I now love it in this location. I'm often barefoot in morning when having coffee, doing dishes, and this mat feels great on my bare feet in the morning. I really like it, its cozy, and it made my kitchen nicer. Very happy with it.I was going to give it 4 stars at first, it just didn't wow me. But after a few days, it really does impress. I actually love the feel on my bare feet, its comfortable and cozy, and so I had to give it 5 stars. Recommend!

Cleaned Well Dried Slow
I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. At 17" this rug is about 8" narrower than my other runners. But that is my problem, the seller clearly stated the dimensions.Seems like a quality product. It is not very thick but does have a non-slip back and the short weave cleans with a brush without snagging. I washed with a hose and brush as the seller instructed which went well, but after a couple of cool cloudy days on the back porch, I finally had to move it into the house to finish drying.

great construction/quality
I was replacing, as shown, two small mats that slip on the floor, with this 17"x 59" product that has a firm rubber backing that insures the runner lays flat and doesn't move when walking on it or vacuuming. As soon as I unrolled it when it arrived, it lay flat on the floor. It's not too thick for the door, but it's not flimsy like so many cheap alternatives.I also gave it a try on a carpet in front of a stand-up desk, and it's a great surface to stand on while working, meanwhile it protects the carpet from spills (actually covering up recent stains, too).The color is a neutral gray (shows as bit more blue/dark in photo due to lighting), that looks good while it will hide dirt. I also plan to use one in the kitchen, as it'd be easier to clean and more rugged than what we have now.A well-made product that looks great!

Nice and thick
This is being used on my kitchen floor.It's nice and thick.It's got a good amount of weight to it that it doesn't move around easily.It was very easy to vacuum over and keep clean.Overall, I'm going to be picking up another set for another room.

Stays put, decent padding
Pretty decent runner for a kitchen. We put it where you stand for the sink and is much better than standing directly on the wood floor for sure. Also I am a bit well messy when washing the dishes so this protects the floor from water splashes as well. Used it for a few weeks so far and has been pretty nice.

Versatile rug that can fit in many places in the home.
I am actually now using this rug in my main bathroom, instead of my kitchen. It fits the area well, handles any stray water with ease, and the rug's kaki color goes well with the bathroom's color scheme. The non-slip backing works wells on the bathroom tile. This illustrates that this rug can be used in other places than just a kitchen!
