These sandpaper discs are red coloured, and are an aluminium oxide abrasive on a paper backing disc for machine sanding of wood and fillers, decorating and metals. The weight is C or D which makes it heavy enough for machine use but means the coarser grits tend to crack if you fold the sheet in half - its not very flexible. Popular choice for painters & decorators who prefer a fairly rigid sheet. Known as Production Paper to the car body trade and Cabinet Paper to woodworkers. Aluminium oxide makes it suitable for wood, metal and finishes. If you just want one abrasive to take you through a whole variety of jobs, this is the one to choose.
