Good sized roll
Whether this roll of insulation is energy efficient enough to save any money is the big question and I cannot answer that. But the roll is a great size for the price, and I managed to fit behind 9 radiators and had enough left to put some extra insulation on my loft hatch. Bonus!

Easy to install
In today's world of rising energy prices every little bit helps. Firstly I'd have to call this 'radiator insulation', rather than 'radiator foil' as it's not at all thin and flimsy. Both sides are silvered, to reflect the heat back into the room, and the core of the insulation is made up of bubble cells to further insulate. It is very easy to cut using household scissors without any fraying or bits hanging off. The instructions are very straight forward and easy to follow and after a little bit of measuring I was able to cut a piece to size. It was also an easy task to cut slots in the insulation to accommodate the radiator brackets.Unfortunately my roll arrived without any self adhesive pads but luckily I had some to hand and was able to fix the material to the wall behind the radiator. I used standard craft type adhesive pads and the insulation stuck firmly and well. The roll is quite long at 10 metres which should be good for a fair few radiators, although this will depend on the number of radiators you wish to insulate. The depth of the roll is 60 cm which is adequate for most standard home radiators without needing to be cut down. This allows the insulation to be attached slightly lower than the radiator top, so it isn't too obvious, whilst covering to the base of the radiator.

Just what we needed
I've been after some of this stuff ever since I saw an advert online showing how effective reflective foil is on energy saving, and with the extortionate energy prices at the moment, who wouldn't want this?It comes on a roll and says will cover around 5 rads. I've only done one so far for testing purposes but will be doing more soon. The installation is simple - measure, cut and stick using the adhesive pads. I did this by myself with no help from my hubby and found it easy and straightforward. Just take care to cut it to the correct length otherwise you'll find yourself having to trim it down.Such a simple thing to do but will end up saving you lots in energy as the heat gets reflected back into your room thus making it warmer for less heat. A no brainer I'd say. Well worth the 5/5.

A job to do in spring!
The radiators in my workshop will be very grateful for this when I replace the 10 year old rubbish I have behind them this spring. The place is definitely in need of refurbishment and this very nice insulation will become part of the story. I was pleased to see that there are decent self-adhesive tabs included with the roll which can be cut up to smaller sizes. The insulation silvering itself is bubble-core with silvering on both sides. That's really good and should prove very effective. I would have preferred a 20m roll as I have a lot of radiators in my workshop, however, this roll appears great value and will be added to when I get around to doing the job.

Made a difference
Installed this reflective foil behind my living room radiators, and it's made a noticeable difference. The room heats up faster and stays warm longer. Easy to apply with the included adhesive pads. Highly recommend for improving radiator efficiency and reducing energy bills!

Good for small projects
Strong, heat-reflecting and insulating material and vapour barrier. 3mm thick, flexible plastic air-filled bubbles (like bubble wrap) with double wall metallic foil, similar to SuperFoil™.At £30 for a 600mm x 10M roll, this equates to £5.00 SqM so is not economical for large areas, but for smaller projects such as reflectors behind radiators, insulation of tanks, small animal enclosures, or individual doors and windows, this would be ideal. For large areas such as walls, floors and ceilings you would do better to buy in bulk on the roll the average cost being circa £3 SqM.However, that said, this is great for smaller projects and the quality is very good. Quite tough, it does not rip or tear easily though it’s easy to cut with a sharp knife or scissors, and it comes with self-adhesive pads for easy fixing.
