I like the way the screen looks, and I think it will look great when I am finally able to use it. You have to put the feet and door handles on but the hardware to do this was not in the packaging. As it is too much trouble to return it, I will go to my local hardware store and purchase what I need to assemble it. Hopefully no one else will receive an incomplete package.

Replaced our old one with this new flush one with doors. So beautiful and can't wait to use it!

We own a Victorian house. We own lots of cats. What cats really, really love, and we realized this when we moved into this house last year, is to dive headfirst into every fireplace in the house. I could not make them understand that an old fireplace was a pretty grimy fireplace, and that cats and grime don't mix.So we have to cover the fireplaces. Enter the Calidola Flat Fireplace Screen with Doors, Wrought Iron Frame with Metal Mesh. It is very attractive, for starters. It's heavy enough to ensure that the cats can't knock it around, which is why it's important for our house, but also for other houses with pets, too. I like the fact that we don't have to move it in order to access the fireplace itself. We just need to open the mesh doors.What customers need to be aware of: there are stabilizing legs in the front and back. The ornate ones in the front are very long and curved. They are the ones you see when you look at the front. The back ones are shorter and keep the whole thing from tipping back and leaning against the fireplace itself instead of standing by itself. Some fireplaces won't be able to have both of those features. Ours can't have the back legs installed, but it still stands flush against the wall.This is a sturdy fireplace accessory! It's a very traditional design, too, and will fit into most decor.

This is perfect for me. I will explain why. I had one that had "legs" on both sides so it would stand on it's own, (not lean up against something). This kept it about 4 inches away from the actual fireplace front and the puppies would try to get behind it to close to the fire. This one if you notice only has "legs" on one side. It is top heavy if it is not leaning against something and will fall over, but........ exactly what I needed as it will set perfectly right up next to the fireplace opening with no space at all anything can get thru behind it. It is heavy gauge metal, easily washable if needed and very well made also. Can vacuum it for dust, or rinse it off in the shower and dry.

It’s a nice looking screen but it looks like it was scratched at one pint and someone touched it up. Also it seems uneven, the doors do not sit flush. That is the only two things I saw wrong with it. I would recommend this product other then that
