The quality of this tool is good enough for my at home use. So far I have used it on 3 shut off valve compression rings and did not have any issues. It catches the nut and screws on easily. Then it takes lots of turns to slide the ring off but did not require any real force to do so.Love it.

Helpful in repairing the drain
