Good blanket with pause
We wanted am extra cotton blanket as winter approached. Synthetics tend to be too warm for us so we chose cotton and read all of the product information on several products, choosing this one because it reported a little more weight than others. The blanket is well made, looks great and has an attractive (and we suppose functional) weave. Value Homezz seems to be a company concerned about customer service, even sending an unordered set of throw pillow covers as a thank you. Good form.There is one issue with this product that would have kept us from purchasing, had it been revealed in the information. The manufacturer did not make the effort to pre-shrink the yarn. Because the blanket was shedding big time when we opened it we decided to wash it prior to use. We were sorry when we checked the label and found that it could only be machined dried on air. It took 3.5 hours and several lint screen cleanings to get it to the point where it was dry enough to spread out on our guest bed overnight to complete drying. If someone has the space and ability to hang dry outside (we don't) it may not be a problem. But unless you want to run your dryer on air for several hours (or dry clean), perhaps another product would be best.

Always check your items upon arrival!
The blanket itself is very nice. However, for starters, the plastic bag it arrived in was torn open. Then there were too many loose threads, as if it had been caught on something. Lastly, there were stains on thr blanket. Maybe something crawled in there, who knows, but it also looked it might have been a return item and then repackaged. I always check a product, and this time I saved myself the embarrassment of giving it as a gift, as it was the original purpose.
