Bare Decor Subsy Soap Dish, Teak Wood, Brown

Just absolutely disgusting. The soap dish releases color (it seems to have been heavily stained to look like teak!!!) into soaps. My soaps, most white, now look ridiculous, and are constantly colored a pukey brown color. :( :( If you can help it, do NOT buy this.

Bleeds everytime it gets wet. Stains the counter. Unable to return as it was for spare bathroom so it wasn't until we had guest that we noticed it.

Product arrived broken. It appears to be bamboo, not teak, and the finish on the wood is rough. I had to use wood glue and reassemble it myself. Will not be buying this again, and it was not worth the return postage to exchange it for another.

Only had it for 2 weeks and color stain started to seep through and I see it on my shower tile. Definitely not teak looks like it was just stained. Don't be fooled.

It’s very nice but whatever they stained it with is now all over the edge of my tub glad I didn’t put it on my Tile shelf, the stain just bleeds all over the place. And it seems to never dry out

You get what you pay for! It is cheaply made, glued together. It looks like a wood project for a 10 year old! I placed a white bar of soap on it, the next day the color of the wood bled into the soap. The only really good thing about is was that it fit in the place I needed.

Very good item and an amazing price. Once I oiled the dish with olive oil, the colors and wood grain are very beautiful.

This does discolor, but we placed an opaque, mesh soap saver between the soap and the wood. The soap saver covers the wood where it's discolored. It still looks nice everywhere except where the soap lies (and the mesh covers that up).

Product is as described... Except I wasn't expecting it to stain the bathtub. It's looks awful. Put a plate that you don't care about underneath if you use this! Or find something else that will contain the water that drips down. I'm not happy with this at all!

The dish is nice in terms of look, but like the other reviews say, the fact that it is not well (or at all) varnished is creating issues. It is very porous, so when I grab my soap, the dish comes with it. It sticks to it. And then yes, it became stained by the soap's color. I use charcoal soap, so after the first week, it already looked like I've had it for years.

it serves its purpose as a soap holder, but you're better off getting glass or plastic. The pigment in the wood stains clear soap and the product itself becomes discolored and dull within a week or two. Just keep this in mind when considering the aesthetic of your bathroom.

Le produit est beau et de bonne qualité, il correspond à la description. Il faut le nettoyer souvent par contre car il a rapidement l'air sale (sur le bois et en dessous)

So disappointed, i hate when i get cheated on. This is not in the same colouring as the one shown in the sellers pic. It looks like an old piece, faded colours from exposure to water or sunlight. ALSO GOT THIS WEIRD SMELL, not how wood is suppose to smell.
