Portable Movie Theater - Includes Educational Disney Content, Streams Netflix and Youtube - Anytime, Anyplace

I bought this CINEMOOD movie theatre for my nieces but I just loved the magic atmosphere it creates, so now I'm buying 1 more for myself!I was a bit concerned about all the negative reviews, but at the same time I've heard from several people great things about it and decided to give it a try.The projector came in a nicely designed package. I liked the attention to details which turned the unpacking into a pretty pleasant experience. The same would apply to the product quality and accessories in general. IMO the design is pretty slick and the hardware felt pretty well manufactured. No squeaking buttons, no cheap plastic, no unpleasant chemical smell, etc. It definitely feels like a high quality product.Right after turning it on I was a bit confused with external apps available on the device but then I realized that one actually has to sync the software to get the most recent version of it. Once the update is installed syncing the projector with external apps like Youtube, Amazon prime video and netflix works flawless.I also really like a mobile app that simplifies navigation while the device is connected to an external streaming app. The mobile app turns a phone in to a touch pad controller for CINEMOOD.So far I took the projector on a few trips and one of the things I liked about it is its portability. You basically just need WiFi and you can stream your content on the go. No WiFi - no problem, just watch the pre-installed content! Reading content is also a great feature. These books brought some really warm memories from my childhood.The price is definitely on a steeper side but CINEMOOD is worth the investment!

I thought this would be a great product for my daughter to have her own movie nights in a pillow fort. But unless you are willing to watch what CINEMOOD has pre-ordained, this is a bad product.First, you pretty much have to use the phone app. But that only allows some better rudimentary navigation options. It does precious little else. I first tried to go into Netflix... the app wouldn't install. So I tried YouTube. You can watch only a set bit of non-English videos or search for videos. There is no way I found to log in so that I could watch purchased content. Next was Prime Video. My Amazon password is long so I tried pasting it. But it took me like 8 tries to realize that pasting, well, doesn't. I had to paste, then type a random character to get the app to send the text to the projector, and then delete the random character. And there there's the captcha entry... unless you scroll the screen just right (good luck), the on-screen keyboard covers the captcha, even if you're using the app. I finally got Amazon authorized but then I couldn't scroll anywhere. If the shows/movies I wanted to watch were not on screen at the onset, there was no way to get there.I updated the software and that allowed Netflix to install. But then I ran into the same issue. If what I wanted to watch didn't happen to show up on the screen when the app started, there was no way to change that.Finally, there was mention of using a thumb drive... but the device has only a micro-USB port. Do I need a dongle? An adapter? A special thumb drive?Now note, I have a degree in computer science and 30+ years of programming experience. If I couldn't figure this thing out, I doubt my 7-year-old daughter would be able to.In the end, if the phone app allowed streaming, or if the device had an HDMI port, then this would be a FAR better product. But as it is, it is a novelty item that serves no real purpose.

This is the best device we own!! Before leaving a review I wanted to use this device for a while. I bought it based on Instagram posts and some videos but I thought if it was not for us I would return it. All it took was taking it out of the box and turning it on to fall in love! My daughters absolutely love it. After their bath they go into the room and immediately point at the wall so I can turn it on and they love the stories that come preloaded which is basically a narration of the movies. Netflix was super easy to set up and they already ask for their movies when I tell them it’s movie night. They get on the bed and grab their pillows and good to go.I must add I bought this without telling daddy and when he wakes into the room and saw the huge screen on the wall he went...”oh wow I’ve been looking for a projector for a while” when he saw it he was shocked about how simple yet complex it was. We had previously bought a projector at Apple and besides it taking forever to set up and then we couldn’t get the little message in the middle to go away we got back on the car and returned it. This little guy only took an on button and a quick app download on our phones to get the remote feature. It is amazing.Now daddy sneaks it to the room when he wants to watch his Netflix shows in peace and has it connected to his Bluetooth speakers and he is as happy as he can be. When I want to watch something and my daughters are sleeping I just connect my beats headphones via Bluetooth and can watch my YouTube videos in peace and without disturbing the girls.I can also watch amazon video and YouTube which is awesome. Best part for me was taking it to the bathroom one afternoon while the girls where out with daddy and I finally took a long bath and watched a whole movie with no interruptions. No cables, no stands, no screens nothing. Just our little CINEMOOD a bathtub and a glass of wine. Mama had not been any more relaxed in a long time! Thanks CINEMOOD!!!

Loved the durable and portable design but found the app-based remote operation awkward and unintuitive. When it works the picture is very bright but clarity drops off after 8ft or so creating a ~55-60" display. Audio is also worth noting - not stereo, a little muddy, and full volume is not particularly high. This might be a great product for trips, backseat of the car, hotel stays, family camping, etc but is surprisingly pricey for limited functionality and less-than-stellar output. We actually returned our unit due to picture burn-in on the lower right quarter of the display but this may be due to it being an open-box item. Too many strikes for a such high price.

Le cinemood est parfait pour toute la famille. On transforme une chambre d'enfants en cinéma en un rien de temps et on peut écouter le contenu Disney , Netflix , Amazon et Youtube sans tracas. Aucun branchement est nécessaire, le Cinemood est autonome et a même une capacité de stockage afin de downloader des films si on a pas accès à internet.J'ai dû communiquer avec le service et j'ai une réponse rapide et claire.

I absolutely love it! We've used it while camping and its been a great little tool to have when the weather isn't great. Only wish the Disney side of things were permitted in Australia. Hopefully they update the software to include the new Disney+ app on the cinemood.

I just opened CINEMOOD and it’s not working. Won’t turn off.

My kids loved reading the storybooks off the wall. The projected image is nice and clear on a flat surface without distortion. Great to watch downloaded Netflix shows and movies on the go!
