Hoplite Premium Lifting, Running, OCR, Hiking Compression Socks, Men & Women

I wear a mens size 8 and ordered these socks in a Medium. Perfect fit. I still impact my shins a bit while deadlifting, but far less than without them. These socks go up to my knees.

I love this product, I have a few pairs of these and I have rarely raced or ran without them. I am primarily an obstacle course racer, I've tried a couple different compression socks and these ones are by far the best in my opinion. Others have been either too tight or not tight enough, these have found the perfect balance, and the fact that they are left and right foot specific make them all the more comfortable.

I now wear only Vibram FiveFinger shoes but had ordered these socks a couple of years ago for Spartan racing before I went totally to nothing but FiveFingers. I had never wore them because I tend to run hot temperature wise. I did a Spartan Beast on November 23 in pouring cold rain and decided to finally wear these with my shorts. However, I faced the problem of them not having individual toes for my shoes. Then I thought I would cut the toes out and see how they would do and even if they unraveled it would be ok because they've just been in a drawer for exactly 2 years. Thus I cut the toes out and wore them for the Beast. They were AWESOME!! They helped my legs keep from getting as scratched up over walls, traverse rope, etc. They also kept my lower legs warmer. After I peeled them off after the race I was surprised to see no unraveling whatsoever. The following day when I washed my race gear in the washer I was even more surprised to see that they did NOT unravel in the wash either. Thus I have toeless socks for my next cool/cold Spartan race and I am about to buy another pair as well. I wear a size small and wear European 37 in Vibrams, US 5.5-6.5 depending on the brand if I were to ever wear non-toes.

I run multiple OCR events in many states so making the event more enjoyable is important. I have looked at a number of compression socks for my long runs but the price tags seemed to be a bit steep. I came across these and thought I would give them a try after reading reviews. These socks are great. My legs felt amazing after a 6.4 mile run and there was no fatigue in my calves. The price was perfect compared to other companies out there and they withstood all the mud and terrain. Definitely looking to purchase more in the near future.

Just battle-tested my first pair of Hoplites at the Virginia Spartan Super...kicked butt! Just as good as MudGear without the price point.

I bought these socks for an upcoming Tough Mudder run because I wanted something which would protect my legs, keep them warm and help cushion my feet. Mission accomplished on all three! The socks stayed up the entire time, kept my feet and legs pretty dry until I actually ended up fully submerged, and they worked really well in combination with my Salomon Speedcross 3 Trail Running Shoes. With all the various things I ran into, over and through during the run, my shins and feet suffered no cuts, scrapes or blisters.Definitely worth purchasing if you're going to do any sort of mud run or trail run.

These are the first pair of compression socks i’ve Owned and as soon as they came out of the box, I tried them on and the fit and finish were great. After reading reviews prior to purchasing, I decided to order a slightly smaller size (I wear shoe size 10 but ordered 9.5) and it was a great idea. The only issue I had and the reason for the 4 stars is because they felt like they just slid into the shoe with no grip. Otherwise, this far I am happy I got a pair of these and will be using them for an upcoming Beast race.

I shopped around a good bit before getting these compression socks. A good special purpose sock, without paying super-premium prices. The padded traction grips on the back really helped enhance my grip with rope climbs, and without feeling the rope digging into my ankles.

Bought them for a Spartan OCR Race. Very tight (but not overly) fitting and provided good compression. Stayed in place over the 16km race, up and down mountain slopes and through obstacles. Only negative is that they tend to hold moisture and don’t drain/dry as well as if like but overall a good purchase.
