Great chamber reactor from an industry leader.
Sea World uses their products. What more needs to be said, in terms of quality and "street cred"? Personally, probably going to run carbon in mine, but you can run just about any media, to clear up about any problem. It comes fairly well packaged, but I think I'd like to see a little more protection for the inlet/outlet tubes. You can install this in a sump or sitting out separate, it's built to go either way, which is nice. There is, sadly, a complete lack of instructions of any kind. And, here's the thing...I know the vast majority of the setups this is going to be connected to are going to be fairly custom, if not totally custom systems. I get that. But there is all kinds of pertinent information that could be included with a setup sheet - some examples of hookup methods, filling and maintenance, ect. For an American company to not even include a setup sheet or instructions is just...low brow? It looks poor. And how hard is it to bang out an instruction sheet in an afternoon in Microsoft Publisher? In all, this thing is a MONSTER that could filter just about anything...a reef tank (and a big one at that), an ordinary saltwater tank, heck even a big freshie, or a hydroponic system, or something yet yet un-imagined. It's built...well, pretty much flawlessly. At the end of the day, though, I can't believe Bashsea can't think of anything they'd like to offer the customer in terms of setup information. It doesn't have to be a college dissertation into the molecular characteristics of acrylic polymers and filtration methods. Just a few setup examples to get us started, and some helpful tips as far as putting media in it...what KIND of media to put in it for what reasons...how much...you know...instruction manual stuff...but even knowing you're going in blind, I still recommend it, as it's a fantastic piece of gear from an American company.

Quality
This is a quality media chamber filter. All the parts and pieces are made from quality plastics and are very thick. This will definitely last you a very long time. I love the look of it and how easy it is to see into the media. This allows you to visually inspect your filter in case there are any kind of flow issues. It is definitely an upgrade to most filters out there.
