Beneath These Cursed Stars

Very enjoyable!
I didn't realize this was a continuation from a previous series which I haven't read. I was a little lost at first but I honestly think you could read this without having read the previous books, just know it might ruin some of that story for you. With that being said, I honestly loved this book and can't wait to read the first books in the series! All the characters were interesting and I loved the individual romances, forced proximity, and secrets it seemed every character was hiding. The plot for each character's storyline is perfectly written, leaving you wondering what comes next!I do wish that Misha and Felicity's story was more of the main focus because I found theirs was more interesting and I just couldn't get enough.

An Entertaining YA Fantasy Romance
(4.5/5) It felt SO good to be back in this magical world!Set three years in the future of These Hollow Vows (THV), Beneath These Cursed Stars follows two POVs: Jas (THV FMC's younger sister) and Felicity (a shapeshifter). While Lexi Ryan states this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the THV first because you'll be better prepared for the world & magic system, and you'll avoid major THV spoilers. What to expect:⭐ YA fantasy romance (incomplete duology)⭐ 1st person, multi POV (primarily dual in this book)⭐ Revolution, revenge, & secrets⭐ Reluctant ally⭐ Star-crossed lovers⭐ Secret identity⭐ One horse⭐ "Who did this to you"?I love the storytelling and flow/pacing of this book. Her character pairings and dynamics were realistic and relatable, and I found myself eagerly turning the page to figure out what was going to happen next. While I may have guessed a few of the twists, I was happy to be right rather than feeling it was too overly predictable.I'll absolutely be finishing this duology once the next book comes out, especially given those cliffhangers!

Great Cliffhanger Ending!
So, I loved These Hollow Vows & These Twisted Bonds, and I was so excited to be back in this world, unfortunately, this book was a bit of a snooze. I understand what the author is trying to setup and that takes time, but this was too much of setting up something bigger, and not enough entertainment to keep the reader going. I ended up speed reading 80% of this book. I will say, I’m giving this 3 stars because, I enjoy the authors writing and the ending gave me hope for more in the next book . It was a great ending and I’m a sucker for a cliffhanger!!

Awesome!
Set three years later after Jasalyn was tortured by the now dead fae king Mordeus, Jasalyn fights her inner demons by making a deal with a witch to gain a ring that gives her the kiss of death. But when Jasalyn is ordered to leave the kingdom by the Queen for protection, she trades places with an Echo and goes on her own adventure to help restore peace in her previous human realm.Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5Spice: 🌶️ 1/5Tropes:Hidden IdentitiesForbidden LoveEpic AdventureTriggers:Flashbacks of tortureMürderReference to death of parentMy Thoughts:I fell in love with Lexi Ryan after coming across “These Hollow Bonds” last year and when I saw she was writing another fantasy series, I immediately preordered it without even reading the synopsis! Imagine my surprise to find that this series is set in the same world! I love the angst and forbidden love of these characters, as well as the world building. My only regret in reading this is that now I have to wait for the next book.
