Worked Great!
I was having a problem with my 2002 F-150 and I was afraid the cats were clogging up. So before I spent $500 on a new exhaust system I decided to try this tester. It was easy. I drilled a small hole and inserted the tester. The meter was easy to see and read. My cats are in good shape! The pressure is the same both before and after. They also supply a small insert that pops into the hole with a hammer when you're done. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is a do-it-yourself'er. It's one of those tools that you may not use that often but when you need it, it's perfect!

Best Method of Exhaust restriction testing
Great tool! Other tools would have you remove an O2 sensor, here in the rust belt that is a no no, removing an O2 here generally is opening a can of worms. This method allows the Technician to easily test and pinpoint weather the restriction is from a front or rear converter. Currently, amazon says "unavailable" I hope this unit comes back so my friends will quit borrowing mine.

Fastest way to test back-pressure
This kit is one of easiest and quickest methods to test back pressure. Drill a 5/32 hole, insert gauge and with the hose being about 10 feet long, you can sit in the cab and give the vehicle throttle. Results within minutes of getting tools out. This is much easier than removing an O2 sensor and putting an adapter back in. Any hole drilled will be plugged and doesn't affect operation or even noticeable.

Quickest way to test exhaust backpressure
Bought this tester to quickly measure the backpressure on my 2003 F150 5.4L. The O2 sensors were seized, so this method of testing was critical. Just drilled a 5/32" hole ahead of the cat, plugged in the gauge, and fired it up. Drivers side had 15 psi at 2500rpm, passengers side ad 2 psi at 2500rpm. Replaced drivers side cats and got all of the lost power back!

nice product
so far so good, only used once. hose is long enough to reach into the cab for the gauge. the small wire that holds the sensor into the exhaust could be more robust, doesnt feel super secure. i wanted one i could drill quickly and plug easily. i didnt want to mess with oxygen sensors because they often get stuck and can be a bear to get to.

Easily Detects back pressure
Nice case. Hose with clamp works good. The plugs are easy to install and don't leak. Gage is 60lb full scale. Would prefer half the scale.
