Decent bag
First let me say how fantastic the folks at Myterra are. I had some issues with the first bag I received and they quickly followed up and offered a replacement, which I accepted. The replacement wasn't in stock at the time but they kept in touch with me during the wait and sent one out as soon as they got more stock.I received the replacement and have to say I am impressed. I inoculated it with a proven pioppino culture a few days ago and I'm seeing great growth across the grain already. It will probably need another week or two to complete the grain colonization, then I'll break up the grains an mix them in with the sawdust to get ready for the next change.I don't recommend this if you don't have some mushroom growing experience. The instructions that come with it aren't very clear as they seem to be a generic set that goes with a number of different products. They provide a QR code to scan to get info on the fruiting patch but the code just takes you to another page with instructions for using other kits and doesn't reference the fruiting patches at all. I've grown a lot of mushroom bags in the past and I'm not sure when or why you would put the patches on over the filter but maybe they are of some use?The bag was very nicely prepared and the hydration level seems to be just right, at least judging from the mycellial growth I've seen so far. My fingers are crossed that I'll get it all the way through fruiting for some nice mushrooms. I didn't wait until to fruiting to post my review because I originally had posted a pretty critical review and wanted to get a new one up to share my experience with the replacement bag.Honestly I'm just not huge on the "all in one" type bags but since I had a chance to try one I decided to go for it. I've only ever had one bag make it all the way to fruiting, and that was out of about 10 or so that I've tried. I'm excited to see how this one will do. So far it's going great, so based upon that, if you really want to try an all-in-one bag and you starting a strain that will like the grain type and will grow on wood than this would be a great place to start.

Move Over Little Mushroom Box Kits! This Is the Big Dawg!
Ok, I admit it. My title might be a little over the top. But having just used one of those “little mushroom box kits”, I think I’m ready for the big time. :-) I’d love to grow mushrooms for our family needs and, who knows, maybe a side hustle.I’m really impressed with what I see out of the box. I haven’t yet started using it (and I need to order some culture first) but it make my little box kit look like a kid’s crayon drawing. It seems like this is a great kit to start with. Not only do you get everything you need (except you have to buy the culture - which is fine with me because I don’t want it until I’m ready to start), they also seem to be very interested in educating you properly with their online library. I also like the fact that I’ll be starting at the inoculation stage (instead of it being already done) which means I’m working end-to-end. All the substrate and grain is organic too, which is a top priority must for me.I’ll try to update this review after my first harvest to give you the candid lowdown. Until then, five stars!

Very disappointed
I bought 3 of these. One was severely contaminated, like the other reviewer pointed out, and the other 2 were bone dry. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that until after I'd wasted 2 expensive wood loving L.C.s that have thrived in the traditional methods. I used the whole 10ccs and it still didn't hydrate it enough to even start any mycelium. The sawdust seems to have sucked the moisture from the grain. I just don't think there's a good shortcut for wood lovers. Maybe someday.....

Interesting Experiment Ends Badly
I ordered this kit simply out of curiosity about the mushroom cultivation process. The kit includes all the materials and equipment you’ll need to have a try at growing mushrooms at home, EXCEPT for the mushroom starting liquid. You must order that separately, choosing from among a small variety of mushroom types suited to home cultivation. (I chose white oyster mushrooms since they were described as the easiest for beginners.) The instruction sheet in the package is bare bones. Far better to visit the Myterra website. There you can read detailed instructions and view helpful videos showing you step-by-step how to start the process and, hopefully, grow your crop of mushrooms. This is not a project for the impatient. Even when successful, the process takes several weeks. My mushroom growing experience proceeded, although more slowly than the instructions described, according to the phases shown on the website until it reached the fruiting stage. Fruiting being the point at which the kit actually produces mushrooms. Even though I followed the instructions to the letter, my kit’s fruiting stage sprouted nothing but stems without ever growing caps, with the stems eventually shriveling up instead. I can only assume that there was something about my environment that was not conducive to successful fruiting. Still, this was an interesting and educational project, although in my case it ended in disappointment.
