PenningtonElectroNectar Ready to Use Hummingbird Nectar, 64 oz, Clear

I had to ration it out to make it last but the birds drank it up so quickly! They loved it. My only complaint is that I wish they put a knife expiration date on it.. or “use X months after opening” I kept mine in the basement as it was drastically cooler. And it lasted all year and was hoping to use this year. But it had a weird tint to it.Nonetheless I didn’t and started mixing store bought powder ones.

I have tried other brands, and a friend told me about this. I get rubythroats from mid March to late Sept., they come so often, I had to buy a larger feeder. Unlike sugar water, this does not sour in the feeder. And no artificial color.

I purchase Pennington and Kaytee Electro Nectar because it is the only brand the hummingbirds will drink. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find either at the stores locally and had to purchased Perky Pet which is what they are now carrying. Well the hummingbirds hated it and did not come around even though I left it out to see if they would change their little minds. Well no, and so I will gladly and happily purchase from Amazon. As an aside, the local retailers moan and groan that they are losing business, but I will go where I can find what I need. My hummingbirds make me very happy and I like giving them good food. This is one of my little joys in life.

It’s easy to use but not sure about the flavor. Haven’t seen any hummingbirds dining at the feeder yet but time will tell

We have three feeders and tried a different brand in one of them and it was totally ignored while the other two were drained almost as fast as we could fill them.

Packaging needs work. This was super fun to try to open and pour without making a huge mess.

I thought I was buying the syrup concentrate, but thats my fault. Our hummingbirds much preferred plain old sugar water.
