This cook stand is a great deal if you like to cook outside. I have used it camping on an improvised fire and in the backyard in a fire pit. It worked for both however at 16in for the hanger you will need to get it pretty close around a fire pit, especially if you have the curved pavers that everyone uses. I love that the stake has 4 extra spikes. That makes this unit very stable in wind or with heavier loads on the end. Most only come with one. The wooden handles help in keeping the transfer of heat from the rods to the handle, but if the heat is blowing towards them they do still get hot like any material does. The rotational and vertical movement makes cooking a breeze as you can better control the heat on your food. I would highly recommend this product. Hope this review helps!

I've had plenty of those clam-type grill grates that allow you to cook burgers over a fire, but they were all on the flimsy side and ended up rusting. I like that this is stainless steel. It's very well constructed - feels like it will last forever.It plants into the ground and allows the height of the grill to be adjusted. There is a pot holder (no pot included) that can serve as a counter-weight on the opposite side of the grill for stability.One thing to note is the grill grate holes are fairly large, so you can't cook anything too small on it unless you use an additional grill topper/screen. Overall though, it is a solid product.

While portable, this is also really sturdy. The arms are a little short and get a little closer to the fire than I like, but they work well. It is not heavy duty enough to hold my big cast iron cooking pot, like they imply it can, but works perfectly for normal camping cookware.

Has wood handles Cons: Paint flecks off very easily. Just putting it together one time tore some of the paint right off. It doesn’t come with a storage bag. I didn’t expect it to arrive in as many pieces as it does and it’s kind of an awkward shape to try and leave it altogether, so I really have to be able to take it apart and that requires me to have something to put the pieces into. The handles are wood, which is good, but the little screw pieces that help keep the poles into place are metal, so I don’t know how that is supposed to work without taking a pot holder along with you. Comments: Some assembly is required. It comes in a number of pieces.

I am impressed with how well this campfire cook grill and pot holder combo is made. The construction is much more heavy duty than I had anticipated and the pot holder arm has no trouble supporting a full pot if the base is firmly planted in the soil. The grate is really strong and offers a stable surface that you can rotate into the fire as needed. This campfire buddy is really useful and I like having options when cooking on a campfire. Well made and built to last, this product is well worth the asking price.

This stand is fairly top heavy for what it is and what it is designed to do. The paint thats on it makes it so the grid plate does lock into place well. And you have to take ot completely apart to ge tthe arms off.
