The reason I'm writing an overall poor review was that the unit I received had no temperature guide printed on the back of the unit. That is one of the reasons I selected this unit as to have the handy temperature guide. Everything else seems to be fine and as described. I will unfortunately be returning this as it was not as pictured above.[Update]Very shortly after my review I was contacted by the seller. They said they would resend the item with the missing temperature guide. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it. I've updated my 2 star review to a 5 as my new unit meets all the requirements.

I really like this thermometer- however, I have gone through 2 because the where the probe enters the casing breaks after a short while and the probe ends up dangling out of the thermometer.

Used it day before Memorial Day to grill steaks and was surprised to see how easily it penitrated the meat! It was easy to calibrate and read. Sometimes it was difficult to reset the reading to check the next piece, but overall it worked very well and easy to use.

it is magnetic, light doesn't stay on

It seemed to work well on the day it arrived. I think I just got a lemon because it showed some indications of internal problems before completely fizzling out the next day. Might as well have burned the money...but for that one night of ecstacy.

Very happy with my new meat thermometer. Works quite well, very easy to read, and appears to be accurate.

Thermometer worked well especially when grilling. Numbers light up bright enough to see. It gives a good reading.
