The 5" and the 7" are awesome addition to your tackle and has really great action.
I purchased a few different colors in the 5" and in the 7" and the action on them is perfect. A great introduction to soft swim baits at a very reasonable price.Weather you are reeling it super slow, intermittent pulses or a mild retrieve, the action looks like a reel fish (especially when it sinks slowly). Its amazing the action you get with an introductory soft swim bait like this. The 5" you can use on any rod that handles 2/5 of an ounce, which is almost any bass rod. The 7" is an ounce, which can be used on Moderate Heavy rod (standard Bass rod) to Heavy rods. I cast both on Braid (20 or 30lb. test line) with a Fluorocarbon leader with no issues. When the Bass inhale and chomp down on this swim bait, you know it and you are really hooked in. I have not had a Bass spit this out yet.

Weird action but catches studs
Action on the 5-in is weird; it never does what you want. Fortunately, the fish don't seem to care at all. I use it in the salt for backwater snook and tarpon, and the hook started to rust pretty quickly, and it ripped in half after 4 fish, but they're so cheap who cares? The hook is sticky sharp, and it separates from the bait which makes it hard for the fish to spit—caught a total of 1 snook and 3 poons. buy it

Looks good in the water
So I haven't caught anything on it yet, but if you're very gentle with the rod twitch, it can be made to move as if it were alive. That's what I usually base my opinion of lures on. It's not about if I catch fish with it because then I'd say everything sucks. If a lure seems like it could convince me it was real by the way it moves, I call it a good one. This does that.

Worst bait ever
The 5 inch perch has zero action totally not what Berkeley advertising claims.a waste of money.Hear the 7 inch n 9 work better not going to chance it. Not spending money on a hope just to be disappointed I’ve had better lures from Temu and that’s cheap junk.refund me my time my money my hoped

Great action. Fish go crazy.
Wasn’t long before I had a big bass on. I now use instead of a fluke.

Great for the money, needs some modifications
5 inch Works okay at first but with a little modification it works great, put 1/32 oz nail weight in the head and tail to allow it so sink in the water instead of sitting on top and give better swimming action instead of having to flick the bait, and adding a extra treble hook to the tail will make your hookup ratio way better.

Great little bait
For the price point this a very nice little bait. Once you get the cadence don it catches fish!!

5” version is too light
Seems like the action is good but the 5” version is too light to cast well even with a spinning rod. I would try the 7” or 9” version.
