Tried one for my first bike - had to have another for my second
I much prefer to have a stand than to lean my bike or lie it down. Twin legs are better than a simple prop and I preferred not to have to fix to rear hub area. Quick, easy action and both legs stow neatly beneath the chain stay. Could not use supplied nylon inserts in fixing clamp, but found an easy work-around (hard rubber to protect frame paintwork at all contact points). Just need to care to tighten enough to fix in position, but obviously not so tight that frame is damaged (as others have reported). Very stable when rear pannier rack isn't loaded; adequate with care when fully loaded, but I challenge any stand, kick or otherwise, to perform perfectly in such conditions or on a slope. Try one, I think you'll also find you're not satisfied with anything else.Colin

Great product but the rubber feet shown in advert were missing
I really like the stand, fits well, but disappointed as the advert clearly shows black rubber feet which were not supplied

Holds the bike upright and steady whilst loading my Carry Freedom larger Y trailor
Well made and very light. Easy to fit and use. I would suggest getting the additional rubber shoes but not essential. Only had it a few weeks so hope it lasts.

Sturdy, good but not for smaller bikes or small bikes with loaded rear panniers
Fitted onto my 46cm Surly long haul trucker touring bike with separately bought kickstand plate from surly,The pletscher itself is good, probably more fitted for larger bikes as when I have it fully extended one wheel has to stay on the floor and the other rises, by quite a bit of about 6cm or soInstalling was difficult with it should have been straight forward - the bolt that is supplied to connect the kickstand to the bike, for the surly clamp, was far too short in length to attempt to make contact with the plate to screw in.I had to purchase at the DIY store a separate bolt (an m6 bolt screw if I remember correctly) at a longer length. In use, is useful for my bike but have now purchased the side single leg kickstand as it simply doesn’t work for me when I have the panniers loaded which I do often. Otherwise would be fit for purpose on more larger bikes and front loading I believe

Great kickstand for my 27.5 bike, holds my children while they are on the bike.

Be careful that you can fit it before you order, it's costly to return!
I bought two of these, one for my own bike the other for my wife's. Luckily I only took one out of the packaging (no rubber feet - as reported so many times before!). It clearly would not fit on my wife's frame as it would interfere with cables passing around the bottom bracket. I managed to fit it to my bike frame, not easy but we got there!I asked to return the unopened version and had to pay £6.00 return postage. It would be difficult to recommend this kickstand as a 'distance' purchase unless the buyer is confident that there is sufficient space for the large fitting. Why doesn't someone at Amazon read these reviews and change the false promise of rubber feet?

Good quality.
Feels and act quality. In my case tough the srew was a bit long for my kickstand-plate on the bike, and the plastic side-hangers you attach on the chainstays was too thick on one side. But after cutting away a bit, and screw the bolt down as much as it possible could do it works really fine. After all I think its a really good product.

Excellent!
What a brilliant invention !!! Two legs tidily tuck away when riding but will open to opposite sides. Leaves the bike propped upright it doesnt topple over when carrying full panniers. There are a couple of videos on you tube showing how it is used.
